  • Wow! Matt I'm happy to see such a talented comic artist, very cool art. God bless you.
  • thanks for mentioning me to Bible S. I did send some stuff (I must have emailed it- can't even remember clearly-it's been a while) I got a phone call from someone (I'd have to check the email)- they seemed interested but just finished up saying they would keep my name on file should more opportunites come up. Do you have an email or name I can send some stuff to? my email is pilgart3@gmail.com I've been doing a lot of work on my www.prodigal.mdhayden.com comic lately but I'm away from home atm so I can't post it today.- so stay tuned :) I've been concentrating on music a lot over the past few months. I'v been performing as a solo artist but I feel like I'm hitting a wall with music (as I have some minor ear damage with Tinitus) so it's motivating me more to invest in a future with doing my art as the loud volumes of performing will prevent me from working heaps in the music industry. But i'm pretty excited about the progress I'm making with my art work. I'v sent a submission to Penguin Books (because they sed they're open to young adult stuff) and my next move is to submit to some literary agents... you ever submitted your books to literary agents?

  • Slowly. I've got a good couple of people interested on different sites, but not many that can do the quality I would prefer. I need to get a website up and running so that everything can be co-ordinated from one site. How is the tutorial coming along?
  • Thanks for the offer. I apreciate it and could really use the help. I set a huge goal in front of myself. lol
  • hey man. good looking stuff. would you ever be interested in doing ink and color for a comic? talk to you soon man. again, great looking stuff.
  • First i want to say that i will be in prayer for your healing. As for my book series...it is a fourteen book saga. Seven based off of the old testiment. And seven based off of the new. Its starts just like the bible with the first book being called Genesis. I have the overall story Written up. I know the beginning middle and end of the first book. Ive begun to actually write out the first few episodes. Im not doing anything by traditional means. My books are pretty large. Each book takes place generations later and ive even written up a geneology. lol. Im also still in character design stages. This is the first week ive been able to dedicate fulltime to my art. Last week was my last at work. So i plan to get a lot done.
  • Hey Matt, you are absolutely right. I guess i got over excited when i found this site, ya know. I thought, man...a Christian site for artist's! Im sure i can meet people and colaborate on this and help out with that. But...like you said, people have their own dreams to persue and families to feed. And thats whats most important. I guess when i wrote that blog, the question really may have come from a deeper issue i have with the church in general. Sometimes it just seems like people just pretend. I know thats nothing new with people. Were human. I think because im talking about Christians i expect something different and that is probably unfair. Cause i know ive got my issues too. But thanks for taking the time to read my blog and talk to me. Maybe im just frustrated that God has put this huge task in front of me and im alone it it which isnt true because i have Him. God has allowed me to leave my full time job with my wifes blessing and persue this dream. I wouldn have never made that decision if i didnt beleive it was God. So...i guess im just nervous and a little fearfull. I havnt been called to live in fear so i need to put my faith to work and get started. Ok im done. lol
  • Thanks. Things are going pretty well. I just made the decision to step out in faith and start up my Entertainment company. First step is to my book finished and published. Kinda hard when its just me by myself though. Hey i looked at your work, your very talented. Is any of your work published mainstream?
  • God bless you, Matt! Thanks for your kindness.

'92-'93 sounds about right for Gambit. Right now I'm inking the last installment of a 3-part Spidey/Juggernaut story-arc.

    Blessings in Christ,

    Lee
  • Nice work. really clean. I like your portrayal of the 12.
