  • Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic(Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...

  • Dear Henry, I've just joined this CCAS site a few days ago and have been on here everyday for a good while checking things out. (addictive!) I noticed a comment you made on someone else's page and came here and read your testimony- thank you! It's so encouraging to hear so honestly from someone who has been through life's ups and downs and someone I can relate to as a Christian and a creative person. Bless ya.
  • Henry! What's going on? I need your contact info. You can email it to me at ralphellismiley@veerizon.net. God bless and looking forward to hearing from you.
  • Whoa, H-Man! You honor me! Am I ever going to guest-write that issue of TEA?
  • I'm not very busy right now, trying to work through some financial difficulties, but it is very good to hear from you again.
  • Great page update Henry! May you and yours have a very Merry Christmas as well! And a Happy New Year!

    God bless you,
    Gerry
  • Harry -- I am humbled and honored to be listed as one of your
favorite comics creators. Coming from the creator of one of the
BETTER Christian comics out there (TEA), that citation is doubly
    impressive.
  • Thanks Henry. We need to figure out something for our East Coast friends to jump in on. Certainly for a lot of what we're planning, it doesn't matter where anyone is. The Board is talking about a bunch of fun stuff for the coming year.
  • HI Henry,

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm Scott A. Shuford, one of the new Board members. I wanted to stop in and say thanks for being involved with CCAS! If you have any input or would like to be involved with anything in particular, please let me and Eric Jansen (Membership Coordinator for CCAS) know by contacting us both through the site. We'll be making several announcements in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. To see a bit more about me, check out my profile here on the site. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better.

    At Your Service,

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."
  • Hi Henry,
Been thinking of emailing you these past couple of weeks. I am praying for you that the Lord will bring peace and healing to your relationships and that He will bless you daily.

I read 'Megazeen: The Sci-Fi Issue', and enjoyed the origin of Space Lad a lot. It requires a lot of suspension of belief because it works with a delightful kind of golden or silver aged superhero logic. It's wonderfully amusing that in spite of his exile from his world, family, and friends, the one thought on his mind is 'get me away from the Inheritors!' and yet he will end up on earth, ha ha. I like the way Aligem's culture is anti-Inheritor yet is not completely devoid of morals, making them more realistic. They engage in slavery of 'second class citizens', but balk at vaporizing criminals.

Hey, wouldn't it be funny if all the Christian space lads and lasses they ever sent out came back at the same time? Here is a question, and I know you have an answer for it, what stops survivor serum people from coming back as super powered rebels and overthrowing the queen?

Hope to talk with you soon,
    God bless you,
    Gerry
