CHRISTIAN COMIC ARTS SOCIETY :: A NETWORK OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP FOR COMICS FANS, PROS, AND AMATEURS

Announcements!

We have some exciting news! CCAS has moved to a new and improved version of our platform. Not only is it more powerful and better organized, it is completely responsive (looks great on all devices).

ATTN: MEMBERS WHO JOINED AFTER AUGUST 22, 2019
The only issue we are experiencing with this move:
Members who joined after August 22, 2019 WILL NEED TO RE-ENTER THEIR PROFILE QUESTION, ANSWERS. Please accept our sincere apologies for this inconvenience.

  • HI Steve,

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm Scott A. Shuford, one of the new Board members. I wanted to stop in and say thanks for being involved with CCAS! If you have any input or would like to be involved with anything in particular, please let me and Eric Jansen (Membership Coordinator for CCAS) know by contacting us both through the site. We'll be making several announcements in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. To see a bit more about me, check out my profile here on the site. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better.

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."
  • Ray is the real deal. I need to get me to one of those Ambassadors' Academy weekends.

If you need any direction in the Evangelism and/or Apologetics dept., just ask. I have tons of resources and can make some recommendations if you need them. WOTM is a great place to start, though.
  • Man, I just want to say that I truly enjoyed your testimony.
Apologetics & Evangelism (which basically go hand in hand)
are two of my growing passions.
Person I'd like to meet the most: Ray Comfort.
I believe he is astounding regarding both subjects.
God bless you and your devotion.
  • Good afternoon Steve,

Thanks for letting me know about this site! It's a great little hub of comic enthusiasts! You may not remember our recent conversation, but my name is Jason, and I'm the creator of this new Christian Graphic Novel entitled "The Way"... as you can see with the logo. Feel free to stop by my page and get a taste of what the project is about. Take care Steve-
  • Hey Steve!

I have to say, your profile picture terrifies me! With the reflection in your glasses, you look like you've just discovered the "end of the world" website or something! :)
  • Steve -- Yeah, Future-Wife sounds like a great idea. You should
    do something with it!
  • Hi steve, I'm clint, can't say that really know of you , but we have similar passions---the lord and comics---just wanted to say that he is a comforter, a keeper, a friend, our bribge over troubled water as well as our sustainer. he said he'd never leave us or forsake us. take care.
  • Thanks, everyone, for your words of support. Even those of you that didn't know what to write, I understand. Sometimes there are no right words. I appreciate your prayers, love and support during this time.
  • hey steve, my prayers go out to your family.
