My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)

MY TESTIMONY I am a sinner. Of that there is no doubt. I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home. Church was as much a part of my life as school was. However, as many know, going to church doesnt make you a Christian. I tried to understand what it was to be a Christian. I fell into the same trap that so many Christians, young and old, fall into. I was a legalist. Not because I wanted to be, but because I knew nothing else. There was a way to dress, a way to talk, walk, and so on. I lived the life of a Christian, but much like the Ephesians of Revelations, I had lost my first love. I didnt truly know what it was like to be a child of God, or a lamp stand for Christ. I married someone I believed to be a Christian woman. We had our son, Ian, and did our usual Christian routine. As my job pulled on me more and more, and my foundation in God slipped, I pulled away. I began to believe the lies of the world and became very selfish. I ran from God for the longest time. Feeling unworthy, unloved, and unwanted. The truth was, I had been unworthy from the start. God delivered me into the hands of grace after more than a year of hiding. He had been working in my life all along, and I didn't truly see it until after he brought me back into his family. He blessed me with a Beautiful Godly woman, who shows the very scars I myself have. God gave me the chance to be a father again, not just to my own son, but to my new twin step-daughters and step-son. Our love for Christ has grown by leaps and bounds. He has opened doors and closed others to lead me to where he has me today. He took my job from me, that gave me security and placed a wedge between us. He then said he wanted me to go after him. To make him #1. He has pulled me back towards my artwork, and is blessing it. I pray he will bless it and that I will be that beacon of light for my Lord Jesus. I want all these children who see me as an example of what a man should be, to also see me as what a Christian man should be. Lord bless me in seeking Your will....Amen
