I was saved and baptized at the age of twelve. I was fortunate enough to grow up in the church with godly parents and already had a passion for exploring God's word (pretty much, I was the teacher's pet in Sunday School), and I felt it was time to fully commit my life to Christ. I don't remember if there was an exact moment of epiphany, but I remember realizing I couldn't gamble my eternity based on an assumption that I must have given my heart to God at some point. At the time, my identity hinged greatly upon my status as a good Christian kid, and I often told myself whatever would help me hold onto that view of myself, whether true or not. I'm not sure of the time interval between that realization and the July baptism service where I broke down and cried out to God for forgiveness on the table in the hall, or walking into the sanctuary to find that the tank had overflown, or even emerging from the waters a new creature, but I thank God that whirlwind of a season happened. Since that day, I've been growing in God, failing before God, and coming to know God in ways I'd never imagined. I'm coming to realize more and more about my identity in Him and growing more and more thankful for His sacrifice for uncertain creatures like me.
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)
I'd eventually like to start up a webcomic or digital comic store for my and other comic creators who feel led by the Spirit to plant a seed, teach, or otherwise do His work through this medium.

Sadly, I often overlook the names of the writers and artists who create the comics I enjoy. Most of the comics I've read are from Marvel, so the names Bendis, Yost, and of course, Lee and Kirby come to mind.

Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic, (Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

Thank you again for checking my deviant Art works. I'm suck with colouring hehe - honestly I have no good sense of colour choice and colouring...:( Social issue is one of my favourite topic for illustration. I'm not deep into politics and social stuff in the world but when I happen to pick up (intersting) story, sometimes it inspires me to draw... and that's how it becomes :)
I always loved Victorian and Steampunk but I didn't know that 'Steampunk' is actual genre that exists. I found it out when I was studying Virtual Reality & Science Fiction in my design course in 2nd year lol.
Speaking of Black characters, when God had moved me to South Africa, I started to observe Black people. God helped me to find Black people as beautiful, interesting people to draw. I would definitely loved to explore it - especially Black ladies. South Africa uses 11 languages and I believe 10 tribes are Black people. Each of them look different, speak different and think different - and that made me to explore them. Apparently exploring Black character that I drew so far - include Miss Victoria - look more Americanish Black though hehe.
Miss Victoria's inspiration are firstly, from Steampunk, and secondly, my admire towards Black characters. Majority of manga and comics are normally placing White as main characters. Many Black people - even in South Africa - love comics and manga but -if I'm not wrong - I was sad that there are no proper, charming Black characters in comics / manga so far. So this motivated me to create Black characters.
