First body concept (sans face design). I can't seem to get the profile to look the way I want it and the feet are a bit too reptilian for my liking, but it's a start. I tried to deviate from the "skinny-insect-reptile" design by making them short and stocky, and tried to make their shoulders arch forward as I'm considering making them just as happy on four legs as on two. I am fond of the hands, though.

  • Thanks, Brien! I  might broaden the shoulders a bit so they can hunch, but also work on their core to give them more stability. I was thinking of adding more frog-like legs to give them a wider range of motion (and because I'd like them to crawl on walls and not merely dangle from ceilings), but, realistically, frogs can't stand upright, so we'll see about that.

  • I like this design on several counts.  As I remember, these aliens are an oppressed laborer cast, yes? Large hands and feet, combined with stubby digits certainly gives that look.  If you worked in hunched shoulders, bent backs and wrinkled skin, they would have more of an oppressed look.  Light purple has always been one of my favorite alien colors. Looking good!
