My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)

Raised at a non-denominational Missions organization I heard about Jesus since I was an in the cradle. I made a conscious decision to follow him at age 6. Since then I have been working to reconcile my love for art and storytelling with the beliefs I have grown up with. In my experience the Church has had poor theological support for the arts which adds difficulties to a Christian's pursuit of them. The difficulties unfortunately go away when many Church leaders genuinely desire for their artists to flourish. The hard work remains to be done in the theological arenas to truly help uncover the ways in which all the arts (not just music) gloify God.

Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)

I'd love to work either independently on my own self-published books, or as part of a close writer/artist team that creates indie books for mainstream release. I've also considered helping start an indie comic publishing company so we could put out books by some of these creators who aren't currently sharing the gifts and talents the Lord has given them with the world.
