More Than A Carpenter Competition cover

This was for a competition I was apart of called, "More Than a Carpenter." Man I learned so many lessons, and I got to email and chat with the head of Comix35 Nate Butler. He is so cool. The lesson I learned that God was trying to show me in a nut shell was that, "Whether win or lose, God is happy that I gave it my all" And because He's proud of me it doesn't matter that I lost.

  • Nice dude!! XD  I like the modern elements.

  • Agreed...I personally love to ink...I love to draw but I love black and white also...and ur definitely great at it...Blessings...

  • thanks bigtime. I'm still learning how to be patient, but I'm way better than I used to be. A really good book that I'm rereading is Battle Field of the Mind, by Joyce Meyer. It's really helping me to keep a healthy perspective while working towards my goal.

I love inking. I've been working on a comic for God for a while, just drawing, but I CANNOT WAIT TO START INKING IT!!!!  I love black and white work!

  • sounds like you learned a lesson God just taught me. So I can be part of the alumni now. I had what I thought was an epic failure at work (passing all of the testing and evaluations and review board for our sheriff's department's SWAT team) but a internal affairs investigation (over a VERY VERY trivial matter) caused me to miss selection. I had been preparing, and training for nearly a year for the position. God asked me two important questions during it all "if you dont make it will you still trust and follow me?" and "How much time have you put toward your ministry lately?" ewww. I hate having to look in the mirror sometimes.

btw. Great illustration. your inks are on the money!
