jesus

My first Jesus picture I ever drew. Many years ago. I've definately grown as an artist since then. I used a paint brush which I regret doing. But at the time I was impatient and didn't have pens so I used a brush. Ah well live and learn.

  • Love this...we're our worst critics but from one art enthusiast & fellow artist, this is great....Blessings

  • Thank you.  I agree about the sheep.  The "you did something here" might be  the fact that I used a brush and it brings out a different mood.... maybe?  Or it could be the mood of the piece itself.  If you figure it out let me know.

I was going to paint it but I knew I wouldn't be able to paint it the way I see it in my head.  Now that I know how to color in photoshop I might give it a try. I'm working on a children's book for a writer, and after I finish it I want to color the black and whites you see on my page.

Really though thanks for your words... it helps me to look at this piece with different eyes.

  • Mr. Haupt - this is my favorite piece from you. That you used a brush adds to the authenticity. You did something here, that isn't in the rest of your work. Hard to put a finger on it.  There are some things like the sheep blend a bit into the mud, but overall, this has a really interesting feeling to it.

  • thank you. I've been dormant when it comes to posting more of my work cause I'm working on a comic. But if I draw something other than the comic I'll post some more. I'm glad you like the pieces. I normally bounce around with which one is my favorite, but I'm liking my Spider-Man Hobgoblin pic at the moment. Thanks Ribu.8))
  • Very, very nice work.  That goes for all your pieces so far.
