This is a stickey subject - I have been an unofficial (and sometimes unwilling, sometimes unwittingly) mentor in various aspects of the Journey - but I am most often feeling I'm the one needing mentoring, discipleship, and accountability...what kind…
"Forgive my ignorance - but I'm trying to clarify the focus / purpose of such an event - is it (A). a celebration BY "believing geeks" of secular geekdom, which MAY include "christian" flavors, or (B). a celebration OF secular geekdom, which MAY…"
"no service scheduled that i'm aware of - we ran one for over 10 years, but as i took a sabbatical, no one who stepped forward could keep it going - give me a call - 773-425-1766, to set up a meet at the show and possible other present and future…"
Justice Carmon here (tall goateed geek from Wheaton - we met through Karitos event) Are there any plans for a worship service on Sunday - seems not, but you had mentioned this happened at one Con before. I'd love any opportunity to talk…"
"Depending on which translation you read, verse 20 will say that if they come or if they came, then go. If the Hebrew should be translated if they came (being a reference to the men that already came) then the verses may be hard to understand. If it…"
"I have a somewhat interesting story with regard to mentoring, because my first industry job (aside from freelance stuff) was as an Apprentice. I grew so much as an artist during those six months, it was unreal. I was apprenticing as a CG animator,…"
"I know exactly what you mean about feeling like being the one who needs mentoring. I have been under the wing of a guy named Johnny D who has stepped out on faith and has been in ministry full time for about seven years. We do a hip-hop style…"

"Everyone's a supporter at my Church....we learn to support and to accept support (which is hard for me sometimes)....I'm really just encouraged to see other artists in the family at my church...two even work at Pixar!"
Hey George - You've been added! Hope you're holding up in Chi-town. I haven't been that way since August, but you never know when I'll float there again.
Hi George, I'm one of the few that are probably old enough to remember all the TMNT parodies, and I think a friend of mine still has your book from back in the day. I had even done my own Immature Toasted Samurai Rats back in 1988. Small world! can't wait to see more of your work.
I just wasn't feeling the whole "dainty flesh-eater" thing. And who really likes soy anyway? I mean, what self respecting zombified clone would eat that? It was either "savage flesh-eaters" or perhaps a more politically correct "socially challenged non-vegitarian homosapian consumers." But I was worried someone might get offended by me using the prefix "homo". So, I opted for savage.
I finally read your Kung-Fu Gophers from a bygone era. My favorite scene was in the restaurant with your "hold the sauce" joke. It was quite a nice surprise seeing someone that looked remarkably like you and your giant-sized van in this comic.
