  • Depending on which translation you read, verse 20 will say that if they come or if they came, then go. If the Hebrew should be translated if they came (being a reference to the men that already came) then the verses may be hard to understand. If it it should be translated if they come then God is saying that the people must once again come to him in order for him to go. God's anger in this case would be easier to understand because Balaam did not wait for this to happen.
