  • Happy Birthday and God Bless! :)
  • Thanks for the welcome Steve. I've posted a few pieces but until I finish my own stuff I'll stick to showing my fan art.
the wally wood page is great! thanks for posting that.
    peace to you my brother.
  • wally wood is definitely one of the best.
  • ...as do we all Steve!
  • Steve , thanks for the comments. Your package arrived yesterday, and I'll have some comments for you soon. As for JONNI STAR #1, Ken Leach was the publisher, and he determined the contents. For my part, I was just glad to have him publish my character under her own title, even if half the material was something else. But I would like to get a JS #2, with all Jonni, into print one of these days. Emir's art has tremendously improved, I think, and is worthy of a showcase.
  • Welcome Mr. Shipley,

    I like your style.
  • Thanks Steve :) I'll have to figure out how to set up these profiles...
  • Thanks for being my first friend. I really appreciate that.
  • Steve,

Contact me privately at jgpierce65@hotmail.com. I have Ken's information, but don't want to list it in a public forum without his permission.

I also will tell you how to get a copy of JONNI STAR #1.

  • Steve, I know what you mean about renewing old acquaintances. Since I retired from public school teaching three years ago, I've started doing that, and have been quite successful at locating high school and college friends, most of whom I'd lost touch with ages ago.

After retiring, I concentrated on writing (I appear from time to time in ALTER EGO), and also fulfilled a promise to teach a home-school class in Spanish. That had the effect of getting me back up in front of a class, and made me realize that I missed teaching, though I had the distinct sense that my public school days were over. So I applied to be a sub at a nearby Christian school, and have done that for the past two years.

Remember Jonni Star? You helped with some lettering, and her origin was published as a back-up to your Peacemakers. I've since done several more stories. One appeared in JONNI STAR #1, as published by Ken Leach. The others I hope to get into print somewhere, at some time. And I just finished writing a four-pager for a Brazilian small-press publication.

    All for this time.

    John
