  • Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic(Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...

  • I was cut off that last post.  I digress.  I would like to discuss an opportunity to be a member of the group and hope to hear from you and yours.  Thank you so much.
  • Hello Kevin, I just noticed the note on the side of the last page concerning the APAzine and the shortage of contributors.  I am not sure if that is an old notice or not, but I would be highly interested and motivated to be considered.  I am new to the graphic novel collaboration process.  However, I wish to learn and be discipled as it were in collaborating in the Alpha-Omega magazine.  Also, I am ready to be an extremely creative and confindent writer in a collaboration process.  I am a published poet in several journals, both acedemic and public, as well as a number of newspapers.  I served as the art editor for Envoi Lit. Mag. from Ohio University Southern, and have had five years as an Studio Art Major and an English minor (I'm taking a year off before finishing my degree).  I am a late in life return to school guy and have been actively writing, or working in publishing or retail as a lay minister.  I worked to build a church in LasVegas, and my wife and I, while still in the singles ministry, moved to San Diego from Phoenix, AZ to help reconstruct a singles ministry there.  This all happened in the nineties.  In 2000 I became extremely ill, and have spent the last eleven years sorting out my faith, health, and relationships.  I was in a medicated coma for 17 weeks in 2000, with a total of 5 months in the Hospital.  Severe damage was done to my body during that time, and my health is still extremely poor.  I was working in customer service at McGraw-Hill publishing when I became sick.  It has been extremely humbling and a gift from God.  I am currently now retired from MacGraw-Hill and receive a little SSD monthly.  SO I have had time on my hands, and I have been writing.  Mostly Poetry and Creative Idea storming.  My mind is constantly filled with creativity, more so than before the incident, and it overflows to the point that I carry several little notebooks  around with me, and my Ipod and Laptop, just so I can record everything.
  • Hello Kevin,

Thanks for the reply. That's great that there's a volume #2 in the works. I'm not sure how far long you guys are, or when you plan on setting a production schedule, but let me know if you guys are taking other contributors. I would be interested in collaborating with someone on a short story script.

Take care and have a blessed day!

  • Hello Kevin,

I just read the first chapter of Ragged Capes, and I'm already hooked! I really like the focus on the characters and their humanity, and the overall concept behind the book. I want another volume, lol...
  • Hey Kevin, God bless all the efforts u and the crew do for the Glory of His Name.
I was reading about your presence in the Con, and I found that the New Vision anthology is ready, could u please send me a copy? So thanks.
  • Hello, when/where is the next southern California get together?
  • HI Kevin,

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."
  • Kevin! My partner in crime! Great to see you out and about.
I'm so excited what the Lord is doing in our lives!

    Talk to you soon
