  • Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic(Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...

The Word for WORD Bible Comic-100+pg Graphic Novel (Judges)
Hard hitting, unabridged graphic novel of the Book of Judges that is historically accurate with high view of scripture. For ages 15+
  • If you have time, I'd be interested to hear your perspective (as an editor on the Z graphic novels) on the present trend towards digital books and away from print (hardcopy). I truly believe that within five years that the norm will be digital only in the interest of 'going green' as well as eliminating the costs of distribution, shipping, storage of non-sold books, etc. Our generation likes hardcopy, but the younger set was weaned online, it seems.
  • Happy Birthday, Bud! Hope you're doing well! Haven't heard from you lately. Agape in Christ, Alec
  • Hey Bud! I was just wondering what the turn out was with your writer. You had stated that you sent my info on to him and see what we could come up with. You still looking for artists? My buddy and I came up with an amazing Christian story and are looking forward to starting it as soon as our current book is finished (by the end of April). Any way if you guys don't take submissions where would you suggest we present our story? Thanks Bud and I appreciate all the kind words and I will talk to you soon! God Bless!!
  • Right on. That sounds awesome. If you are seeking new artists, look no further! Just kidding. I am pleased that you like my work. That means alot to me. I am interested in talking to you further if you like. I look forward to talking to this writer you know as well. Maybe we can be on to something awesome. Anyway, thanks alot for your help and encouraging words. Looking forward to hearing from you again sometime!! Be blessed!
  • Good Morning bud!! Do you guys take submissions? Or need another artist for Christian comics? Ralph Miley asked me if I would be interested in attending your meetings. I would be more than interested! I have been drawing since I was a small kid buried deep in the adventures of Superman, and I wanted to draw some Christian comics that were down to earth, real, explosive, and like a summer blockbuster, that could empower lives in the process. Unfortunately I am not much of a writer, I had some great ideas, and am currently talking to my writer for our secular book to see if he would be interested in helping me take my ideas and put them into a script. We'll see. Anyway, I would love to talk to you about this further. Thanks for your time and I hope you have a great day. Be blessed!
  • Hi, Bud! Check out my CCAS blog for the latest preview of Erica's and my new serial, Best Mann For The Job!

Have a great weekend - God bless!

  • Thanks, Bud! Have a great afternoon!
  • HI Bud,

Happy Thanksgiving! Good to connect again. I'm one of the new Board members. I wanted to stop in and say thanks for being involved with CCAS! If you have any input or would like to be involved with anything in particular, please let me and Eric Jansen (Membership Coordinator for CCAS) know by contacting us both through the site. We'll be making several announcements in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. To see a bit more about me, check out my profile here on the site. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better.

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."
  • Thanks Bud!
