You are invited to discover a Realm just beyond the threshold of the galaxy...The traitorous Lord of the Shasar, Helel, came to "the Realm in the Shadow of the Stars" with revenge on his mind against the Lord of Gods. He forged a rebellion that empowered the gods and seperated the Realm's citizens from their Great King. Then, as silently as he arrived, he disappeared...It is now some five thousand years later in The Shadow of the Stars: Advent. The son of Lord Helel has escaped captivity and enigmatically taken refuge from his Shasar pursuers on Tellron--a planet located in one of the few regions largely untouched by the greater war.Meanwhile, after a series of decisive battles, the whole of the Realm is at the brink of being overrun by the gods and their servants for the first time since before the Forever War began. But other winds are stirring as the Realm strains under the weight of its ancient betrayal, and the long-forgotten advent of its redemption is about to be known. The Shadow of the Stars is the creation of Kasandra M Radke. "I always had a fascination with angels and mythology, especially Nordic and Egyptian. I spent a lot of time wondering what it would be like if those two groups interacted and fought over some unknown part of the universe." As the granddaughter of a respected former Protestant church leader in Germany, and a lover of the Pini's Elfquest, the Hohlbeins' fantasy works and such popular German shows as Winnetou and The Rose of Versailles, there was much to fuel a young girl's obvious natural talent for creativity. By the time she was fourteen, she was tirelessly developing, through writings and drawings, this new world revealed to her."The idea actually started with a fan fiction I was writing based on a Japanese anime show about soccer that was popular in Germany," she remembers. "All of a sudden the characters from that fan fiction meshed with my deep interest in angels and mythology...and everything else I was watching on TV and reading."The Shadow of the Stars is set in an epic landscape with elements that will be aesthetically familiar to readers--such as mythical gods, historically-themed cultures, warrior orders and mast-and-sail ships--with architecture, characters, and other aspects very much original to the fantasy universe. And all of these are coming to readers as a visually-told story for the first time by the comic series' exceptionally talented art team of Kat Laurange (pencils), Dan Prado (inks), and Steve Townsley (colours); their work based on the adaptation and script of Joshua J Radke, who is best known for his contributions to Lucasfilm's fan magazines, Star Wars Insider ("Who's Who of Echo Base") and Star Wars Gamer ("Wraith Squadron: The Dirty Dozen of Star Wars")."At the heart of the story is redemption and the price that comes with it," Kasandra says. "That and the power of friendship and self-sacrifice. I know that these themes are not new in storytelling, and I don't think that they should ever stop being told. The only thing that changes is the presentation of communicating these age-old virtues, and the ways that authours balance the adventure with the deeper meanings of the story to keep things fresh for the community of readers."SOTS: Advent is a three-issue comic book series that will debut in late July 2008. It is the first part of the SOTS: The Prince of the Universe trilogy. The series will be available for download online in a manner to be officially announced in the coming weeks; a printed trade paperback collecting the first series is planned for 2009.Please visit our website to learn more about the artists involved with this series, preview pages (in the news section), and other titles that we have in development.

I am pleased to announce that Jackket Knightmare issue #1 has sold over a hundred issues and has continued to sell consistently each week. At last count I estimated that %60 or more of the issues were bought by non-believers. To me this is very encouraging, because I know that this story will reach the broken hearted and wounded in this world(Psalms 147:3), just as it has touched me.I thank God the most the One who has blessed me with this wonderful story, and the gifts to tell it. Of course thank you to those of you who here who has helped to support this ministry!.Now gotta get back to work on issue #2!beloved in Grace,Souba

I heard about this on Air-1 (Christian radio station) and took a few moments to find the article. It happened in the US - West Virginia (Charleston area). It was reported on the local news program with an article on their website.http://www.wchstv.com/newsroom/eyewitness/0805/080521_41d512f9.shtmlWeb Producer: Jessica ReedStory Update: May 22, 2008 4:22pmDeath came for Val Thomas at 1:30 a.m. in the morning Saturday, when her heart stopped at home. Paramedics managed to revive her, but she didn't look right. As paramedics rushed Val to Thomas Memorial, family members scrambled into action, beginning to pray and ask God for a miracle.Once at the hospital, doctors put her on a special machine which induces hypothermia. Val's heart stopped a third time making her odds of recovery almost nothing. Val odds of surviving at less than 10 percent, her son, Tim, told the doctors to take her off life support.Once the doctors did everything that they could and the family members made every decision they could using scriptures for guidance, they finally turned Val over to Jesus. That is when the family believes their miracle began. Starting 10 minutes after they stopped the respirator, and were removing the electrical lead, is when Val spoke saying that's okay honey to one of the nurses attending to her. Doctor and nurse say they were baffled with Val sudden recovery.Good news though, Val had a heart cath Wednesday afternoon, it shows she has no blockages and no damage from the three heart attacks she suffered Saturday night. She does have some type of an electrical problem so she is now on her way to the Cleveland Clinic where more specialists can look at her.

This tuesday I showed my teacher a dozen or so ideas that I came up with this Spring. He liked every one of them too, but it didn't help me overcome my six week homework lag because I for some reason have the hardest time keeping that spark interesting to me. I would show you these ideas just because I have nothing else to show of my self seeing as my positive attitude depends on it...but since I wasted a whole week of not drawing and instead packing and moving, I have to spend the whole weekend considering if I should drop the class or push something to my animation purist teacher that he won'e cringe at, even if it's not finished...which is what he's expecting anyway since I keep moaning to him that I don't want to do the final and I'll finish it and....it doesn't bother him one bit....well making him suffer wouldn't help me much now that I think about it...I always feel way worse once after I destroy something out of anger/depression....Ok back to moping or waiting for my teachers email....

Hey.It's seems like ages since I've been around on CCAS, and it's been a really chaotic couple of months. For a year up until around the Easter period I was battling with an unknown chest complaint that pretty much brought my life outside of the house to a standstill and dumbfounded medical professionals, the complaint seemed to appear over night around a year, and I'd often pray that God would heal me of the complaint and that it would go as quick as it came on.Sure enough, my prayers were answered, not right away, but in God's perfect timing and the amazing thing about the whole healing was that, through the grace of God I was healed within a matter of a couple of days, just the way asked in my prayed that it would be!That was during the Easter period, and since then it has been roller coaster ride for me. The healing of the complaint, in itself has given me a new lease of life, and it is an amazing feeling to be free again, thus giving me much more energy and patience that I need to fulfill my work with tale2tell media on the first of a series of 3D Animated shorts, a vision of 'bringing the bible to life' through creative media that we have been working on for around a year now.The 11th of May was another amazing day for me, it was my Baptism and what a great day it was too. I have heard of people say that soon after baptism that they go through a 'Wilderness' sort of experience, like Jesus did, although I haven't been through such experience yet, may I take this opportunity to ask for your prayers that it might not happen, and if it does then the Lord will be my shield and help me know how to deal with it.As well as my motivation and energy, my website also suffered from the chest complaint as I was using the time that I felt most active to work on the animations with tale2tell, so resorted to using blogger as a quick ande and easy solution to communicate and get content out quick. Now that I am healed and my motivation is on the mend too, I have began set up my own website once again, giving it a new design and domain name - I have still much work to do on it, but the basics of it is up and running - so any feedback or comments would be much appreciated.to check out my site visit - www.lets-animate.co.uk and look forwards to any feedback that you may have :)

Hi Everyone! This is just a real quick word to pass on some important information. For a few years, RabidFrog has been struggling along trying to pull together good quality Christian oriented comic books with little to no success. Even though my heart has been in the right place, and my soul has been right with the Father, there have been internal issues with the studio. The Word teaches us to not be "unequally yoked". It's easy to assume this relates only to our relationships and marriage, but I feel that it's this very reason that has held us back. Several years ago, a very good friend and I had a powerful, thriving ministry some of you may remember as "Makar Studios". God spoke things into that ministry; things never realized because of arrogance and immaturity on our part. Because of this, God (yes God did it) drove us apart. At the time, I was arrogant enough to believe it was because I was being held back. Sadly, Caleb felt the same way. What we discovered is that we needed to grow up. So, seperated, we did just that. This past weekend, I made the decision to close the doors on RabidFrog once and for all. I can no longer battle the strain from being yoked with a non-believer. No sooner had I come to this decision than by chance (or not) I ran in to Caleb after four years of seperation. We talked about the Lord, about our lives, about our dreams, and soon realized exaclty what God had been doing in each of us. So, not to be overly presumptious, talks for reviving Makar Studios have begun. If God's will leads us to reclaim what we thought we had lost, watch out! You haven't seen anything yet. Just keep these things in your prayers, if you will. These are just some thoughts and information I felt like sharing.God bless,G. David CooperFormerly of RabidFrog Productions

as someone may not have mentioned, I have a degenerative disc in my neck, which causes pain and stiffness in my shoulders, pinched nerves in my arms, and head aches. I already get head aches, because my body stiffens up by nature ... so, when my neck became very stiff and sore, yesterday, with horible headaches ... I had to take lots of Ibuprofen - but it hardly did anything ....when my neck is stiff, there is real danger - since worse damage could occure.

let's see if I remember this ... oh, yeah, I was looking for a job; someone suggested I try for a fee-lance tutoring job; but, meanwhile, someone with a garage wanted me to quiz, grade and tutor his mechanics, et c. I had to walk a long ways to look for work. I started as something else ....I've had weirder dreams - but on the other hand, I know nothing about automechanical operations ..and don't know why I first had to try for one kind of tutoring job, when ones with regualr hours/pay were available ...

Have you ever had those times where you know God is calling you to do something, but you try to ignore it or you try to hide from it by doing other things. In a way it's kind of funny because as we all know God is everywhere and he is going to find you no matter where you hide or how you try to avoid his call. God knows our purpose for this life, when he finds you, don't try to hide, instead say "here I am Lord do with me as you will".

Well, I just uploaded some of the things I have colored, both in the line of work and just for kicks. I am basically rebuilding my portfolio as most of my original work got eaten by some online worm. I hope to upload personal artwork pretty soon... Thanks for reading and God bless us all. All comments and suggestions are welcome.

The family of Joseph, Mary and Jesus has been revered as the Holy family, the model of what a family should be, the "perfect" family. Think about it though, were they really the perfect family in our manner of thinking, of course not. Now before everyone gets in a uproar continue reading. Lets take a look at the "perfect" family. Take Mary first off, she was a unwed mother who as we know was almost stoned according to Jewish law except for the intervention of God with Joseph, who stepped up and did the right thing. With that said, then you have Jesus himself who in contemporary terms was an adopted child. Now in most societies and even today would not be considered the "perfect" family because of the status of the family members. Yet they are the "perfect" example of a families love for one another despite their individual status, they are the "perfect" example of what a family should be for todays families. With divorce on the rise and so many other situations that put the family in danger we all need to take a longer look at Jesus' family and see how a real family coped with many of the issues families do today. So were they the "perfect" family...No, but were they the "perfect" example of a families love, absolutely.

Under the shade of eucalyptus trees, Karl Svenson and his men were skinning a crocodile. His cousin, Gustave le brun stood by, watching. On the edge of the clearing was Igor the Cossack, who had recently arrived from South Asia, with camels to trade. Gustave did not like Igor, since even the least offensive Cossack was a government spy. Gustave had questions about some government pollicies, especially copncerning mescegenation. Here in the Great South Seas, where the Germanic Empire held sway for generations, most of her citizens had to live perpetualy in the shade, covered head to toe in white, with broadbrimmed hats to hide their faces. A few, and most of these being Cossacks, did not have this problem. This, Gustave had discovered, was becasuse of their asiatic ancestors, whose darker skins seemed to protect them from the damage of long exposure to the sun. Karl was just leary of his gun, since he and his men had never learned how those things worked. Then there was the issue of slaves. Surely, any good Viking should have slaves? But, said the High Command, that meant risking mescegenation - whatever that was. So Germanic peasants and tribesmen were regularly carried off, even by adventurous Incas, and just as often traded away, sometimes to rescue Latin hostages. And while the Latin Fascisti were suppposed to be alies, they allowed Jews to thrive in their midsts, and didn't outlaw mescegenation, either. Worse, the one nation with the most slaves, the Confederated Tribes, encouraged mescegenation.Of course the Seminole didn't keep slaves, and the New Empire didn't even enslave captives, but otherwise they were part of the Confederacy, and did not interfere with the slave raids of those who did.

They just told me I have three quarters left before I'm made to graduate...I still haven't read any of the texts I've been assigned in all the classes I've had... haven't finished one page of a anatomy or computer book...I've made just one good friend who I can actually have longer than a minute conversations outside of critiques with...and I still have no art ready to show to the "general public..." I'm realizing too much now....I want my ADD shell back!
