Tragedy Last Weekend

There's been a horrible tragedy in my eldest brother's family Sunday. His brother-in-law Brandon Abeita was murdered in Sweetwater during an argument with an acquaintance of his who shot him in the throat. He would later die on his way to the hospital. Luckily they found the one responsible and is currently in jail. It's believed that someone I once went to school with sold the gun to the guy that killed Brandon and it's believed the killer may be part of a local gang around this area. Hopefully they'll all wind up behind bars soon.

When my sister-in-law found out about her brother's murder she was hysterical and her mother was actually admitted to the hospital herself because of how high her blood pressure got from hearing about her son's death. She may never fully recover from this ordeal. So please say some prayers for my brothers family and mine too.

Exclusive Interview: Matt Crotts!

3448615595?profile=originalIn addition to being the illustrator for the extraordinary KYRIE graphic novel, Matt Crotts (MC) has a Masters of Science in Medical Illustration, a BFA in illustration and five years full-time professional illustration experience. Some of the programs he uses to create his impressive artwork includes Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop,Illustrator, InDesign, Aftereffects and Flash) , Maxon Cinema 4D and Pixologic ZBrush. In the following artist interview, I was able to speak with Matt about what inspires him – as well as about KYRIE (from Ancient Greek Κύριε, pronounced “Keer-ee-ay”), a graphic novel set in 3rd century Roman North Africa. It follows a curious band of thieves, traitors and cut-throats as they attempt to outsmart the Imperial authorities, while navigating their own dark and competing desires as outlaws of Rome! Enjoy!

Birthday issue.

Hi All:

I would've posted sooner, but this project had 2 objectives:

1. get back into drawing a full issue in a set amount of time.

2. create a birthday gift for my bro with an idea I had been sitting on for years.

So, since tomorrow is his birthday, I will post the bday issue here, pencils and dialog.

Feel free to comment or critique, just remember the 1 to 1 rule: if for every  comment of what you didn't like, you have to post a comment of what you did like.

Thanks for being patient with me3448615782?profile=original3448615877?profile=original3448615739?profile=original3448615837?profile=original3448616002?profile=original3448615914?profile=original3448615965?profile=original3448615939?profile=original3448616027?profile=original3448616064?profile=original3448615992?profile=original3448616089?profile=original3448616202?profile=original3448616145?profile=original3448616227?profile=original3448616302?profile=original3448616164?profile=original

New Webcomic location

Hello, Friends,

I don't know how many of you noticed that I posted my webcomic about a week ago. Well, I did. It's called Legend of the Sword Bearer, and it's a fantasy comic.

Anyway, I had posted it on a platform called Tapastic. It's a good platform, except for the fact that they have a lot of overly sexual comics. And they allow them on the homepage. Then there's the language. They allow too much swearing in their comics. I mean seriously! One of their featured series is called Big F***ing Hammer" and the F*** was not bleeped out!

It was too much. So, in protest, I will not be publishing another page of the Legend until they fix it. I filed a formal complaint, hopefully they'll listen.

Until then, I plan on publishing my series on DeviantArt. They aren't much better, but they do have better filters. You can view my page here

Next Project

Hi All:

I'm still kicking and still drawing.  Been drawing alot more these days, thanks to God's provision in the form of "Quitter" by Jon Acuff, pick it up if you get the chance.

The reason for this post is help on deciding my next art project.  I'm almost done with my current project, posting soon, and need a new one to work on, progress through, and learn from.

I'm hoping you guys can help me choose my next project.  I'll list the titles below and whichever gets the most questions about, I will undertake, after praying about it of course.

1.  Zombie vs Robot.

2. The Eschotologist.

3. 2 Kings 13:21

4. Rugby Bros

5. Heros Guilt.

I'm also thinking of taking on another Kubert correspondence course, the story graphics course to give me more structure to learn through.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and for any help you can give.
