Area(s) of Interest or Expertise:

Ministry; writing and illustrating comic books. I do both secular and Christian comics. Check out the majority of my work at CartoonistWill.deviantart.com. I am interested in using my artistic skills for or in ministry. I have been studying God's Word for over 14 years. I do a LOT of reading the Bible and various other things such as commentaries, Jewish Apocrypha, and etc when not drawing or script writing.

My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)

I've wanted to be a cartoonist since age 9. I thought I was saved at a young age also, but really accepted Christ at age 14 when I realized what it meant to be be guilty of breaking God's Laws and what it meant to repent. At the age of 17 God spoke to me and commanded me to be a missionary. There's a lot more to my story, but basically I've been struggling to find my way into ministry ever sense. It's taken years (and verbal rebuking from God) to move on from my stubbornness of wanting to be a cartoonist to coming to accept God's calling in my life. I am now hoping to use my artistic skills to bring the love and good news of Jesus Christ to those without Him, as well as to educate and encourage those who already know Him and are known by Him.

Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)

A ministry position involving comics. Otherwise, that my indie underground comic, SuperMilo, would really take off - but it's really just a distraction from my true calling, serving Jesus Christ.

Favorite Comic Creators:

Stan Sakai, Jeff Smith, Akira Toriyama, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, and Steven Purcell. Perhaps more.
