My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)

Decided to serve others with the new stint God gave me. When I searched for oppotunities, Bible Translation Ministry gave me an open door to serve a people gruop without scriptures or anything written in their language. We,me and my life lived within the lanuage area in a village with them and completed the New Testament with our team members in 2004. After completeing all necessary checks for accuracy and natural flow of the lanuage the New Testament was printed and dedicated and distributed in 2006 January. Now Iam working on another language working on NT translation with Mother Tongue speakers. First Draft of Matthew is over and the checkingis in progress. Working on Gospelof Mark

Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)

Publishing Christian comics in newly written languages-tribal languages in which the Bible is translated and a translation is in progress. This will give this less previleged group more options in reading.

Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic, (Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Hi again Markose, you can read my tract comics at my website here- http://marcus.formativebits.com/art/ then go to the Comics section. you could read them and find a tract or tracts that are suitable for you then you could give me your emial so I can email printable versions.- also have you got some more info about your missionary organisation and some photos of you and how your work is progressing? the ones that might be appropriate for you are- "Lost Coin", "thief on the cross", maybe-"unmerciful executive"-might not be, "chill out bird boy" may or may not be suitable, "healing on saturday" may or may not be useful. I also have one more I did recently for a kids holiday activities program to help the kids remember our memory verses for that day.- it is 2X A5 size pages where Jesus tells Peter to go out fishing and Peter complains but goes and brings in a massive catch. it's done a lot quicker than my other comics- so it's not as neat and tidy- but the kids still liked it. I don't have it posted up anywhere but I could maybe send it to you to check it out when I get your email.

So encouraging to hear about applying comic art with a Mission focus. thanks and please post any progress you have with your idea of reaching out using comics. I've just joined this site but I gather what Nate Butler is saying you could use existing comics and translate them. Perhaps comics on portions of Scripture like Proverbs/Parables and use them in combination with conversations?

I might have some you could use? I have a short tract showing Jesus on the Cross with the two Criminals-that could easily be translated accross cultures.- I will make sure I have the right resolution and post it somewhere.

Welcome to CCAS! Translating the Bible? That's pretty cool, I only partly translated one page of my comic into Japanese, and that was pretty tough, so I can only imagine for the entire Bible!
I'm new to comics like a three year old, but by God's grace He is giving me what I need to do the job, so I know He'll do more than the same for you!
