  • Dear Brian, thanks for taking the time to write and welcome me to the site.  I have looked briefly through the site, but haven't quite found what I'm looking for yet.  However, I've been inspired by the amazing art work out there and the passion of your members.  I'll definitely post something on the wall and see if anyone can help me.  God bless, Anne

  • Hello,

My name is Lisa Lloyd. First, I am a Child of God and a Believer in Jesus Christ. Next, I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and neighbor. After that, I create things. I'm an entrepreneur, writer and now mirco-publisher. I'm looking to meet other Christian artists who value quality and excellence. I want to publish graphic novels I can happily give to my kids. I believe that art can both speak Truth and be good.

  • Thank you for pointing the way, Brien. I have it in PDF right now, it's only 16 pages but I don't think it looks like anything worthy of public attention at present ... instead of putting it on my website I may just attach it as a file in that forum you mentioned? But that might look like a virus lol ... probably better to just link to it.

The way I see it, story is primary, and art 'quality' is rightfully measured only by the page's visual ability to serve the story ... as you clearly already know, judging by 'Abalon'. Your art successfully serves the story, which is more than you'll probably be able to say for mine once you see how the rubber hits the road heh

I'll let you know once I have it up - and don't pull any punches! I don't want a pretty comic, I want a meaningful one ... a feeling I'm sure I share with everyone here, so I'm excited to be here!

  • Hey thanks! My testimony is actually similar to your Abalon title character's, only instead of a dagger it was lots of drugs and depression ... praise God that salvation comes to all types! I've read a lot of your comic already this morning, it's quite good!

where does one get a critique around here? i've got a rough draft of a short comic, and I think it needs some kinks ironed out

  • Thanks for welcoming me to the site!

I love to blog, but I wanted to move more into the realm of fiction.  Apologetics is wonderful and I will probably continue to write apologetic articles from time to time, but it gets tiring to refute the same ol' same ol' points again and again.  The atheist crowd loves to beat a few dead horses and they either don't realize (or don't care ) that those horses were killed years ago.

I'd like to try to combine apologetics with fiction if I could.

Anyway, I'd love to write for comic books.  I've written some scripts, but mostly fan fiction that I can't get published.  I don't have the artistic talent to draw my own stuff, so I'm hoping to team up with someone here.

  • Hi thanks for commenting on my comic. I hope it has touched some people, kind regards from William

  • Thanks.

  • Thank you!

  • Thank you so much for the welcome! I can't wait to see all that this site has to offer! I'm really happy I found it :)

  • Hey Brien, thanks for the welcome. I have no current projects right now. I am trying to motivate myself to start something new.
