Area(s) of Interest or Expertise:

Humor comics, audio production.

My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)

I believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I grew up in an unchurched family. "Davey and Goliath" was Sunday School for me. The film "The 10 Commandments" was my Old Testament, and "King of Kings" my New Testament until I was given a Bible. I felt the Lord's Presence in my life during time alone in a wooded area. I became involved in a church media ministry and was baptized years later after marriage. My wife and I are active members of First Methodist Church in Carthage, Texas.

Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)

I enjoy a "dream job" now, writing and illustrating "Lum and Abner" as well as acting in and producing an audio adaptation for our blind audience. I would love to have opportunities to illustrate other characters, Popeye being one.

Favorite Comic Creators:

Elzie Segar, Carl Barks, Chester Gould, Bud Sagendorf, Hy Eisman, George Wildman, Steve Ditko, Pat Boyette. I'm sure the list is incomplete!
