page6

The Sparrow fights some whiptails!. This was a very fun page for me to do. I feel it's a lot stronger than the previous page as far as the colors go. I'm still finding my way, but all in all much happier with this page than page 5. Feedback appreciated!

  • Hey Brien, Thanks for the feedback. You are very astute about the boy dropping. Stay tuned for page 7 lol.

  • Both page5 and 6 have a lot of great story telling decisions so the flow is almost cinematic.  The boy she dropped is accelerating(32feet-per-second every second) so she's got to break off this "dance" really quick or she will lose her partner. Great execution on the art, I'm glad you're back in the game!

Kind of hard to give much in the way of meaningful feedback when your work is so great.   On the top pic both sparrow and her colliding whip tail could have more pained expressions.  The Saliva is a nice touch; any fragments or spray that can be knocked off of any of the characters would enhance the sensory connection to your reader.

    Love the results so far!

  • Nice job! I love the airbrushed look; I've yet to learn that technique but it looks great!
  • Thank you good sir! :)

  • Yo I love this very nice. Keep it up.
