Thanks. I've loved westerns since I was a kid (especially the original Lone Ranger), so I decided to give him something unique. It also ties into the lineage that he inherits when he takes on the mantle of Nightwolf.
This is the main character in the novel I am currently writing. He is the latest in a long line of ring wielders that date back to King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Nightwolf's ring gives him several abilities such as super strength and enhanced senses, as well as the ability to travel through dimensions. His wolf, Ranger, is actually a hell hound: a supernatural shape-shifter that God assigned to protect this character and help him carry out his mission to fight demons and other evil supernatural creatures. I designed the suit and six-shooters with some inspiration from my favorite superheroes. I used a program called Gimp to create several layers for this image including Nightwolf, Ranger, and the background, then merged them into one image. (Disclaimer: The wolf and background are not mine. I just found them on the internet and tweeked them. I'm not trying to make my money off of my illustrations, I just like to have them for inspiration while I'm writing and to show others my superhero costume designs.)

Your charactor sounds really cool! I really like his guns. All mine look like laser guns. : )
