  • The Discernment card game?...that's a good idea.
  • Let me know how that goes. I look forward to reading more when you get them fleshed out. Once you get all 52 of them done, you need to try to print them like a deck of cards. The Discernment card game. That would be awesome.
  • Thanks JB. I wrote that one, too. Paul wrote two of those comics on there and the rest were me. They just flowed out. I've got about 20 more sketched and written out but I haven't had the time to do them. They'll be coming though...probably after Christmas. I'm attempting to get at least 52 drawn and then I'm going to submit them to my hometown paper down in Butler, GA (The Taylor County News and Butler Herald) and see if they'll print them since I'm from there and I used to do a comic strip for that weekly paper back in high school. It won't be for money, it's for the message. Then I'm going to try and see if some of the more liberal small local papers in my area will run them (for free) and see if I can squeeze a little bit of God in there. If anything, it will cause somebody to get fired up.
The church I attend, the pastor says we are to be salt and light...I actually did a good comic strip on that idea but it's not fleshed out yet. So if I can get into some unsuspecting papers and come across a little off flavor (salt), I hope to spread a little bit of the good news (light) and speak a little on Godly things.
    May the LORD bless you!!
  • Thank you for adding me as a friend here. The Discerned comic is funny stuff. The guy giving his ten cents as a tip is my friend Roger all the way.
  • Reggie, these two guys are as nice as they seem. What's weird is before I met them I had seen the tv show they do, "Way of the Master", and saw the "Evidence Bible". I went down to a local Christian Bookstore "Eagle's Nest" in Hendersonville, NC and asked if she had it. There was one left and it was wrapped in plastic(paper cover) so I went to buy it. The teller asked if I'd like to look at it first and I did and found out that the cover was put on upside down. She gave me a bible cover for free to cover it up. I went to a Way of the Master seminar in Madison, GA and met these guys. I had my upside down Bible with me and showed it to them. They were willing to replace it. I said no but asked if they both could sign it...they did. So now I think I probably own the only upside down Evidence Bible signed by Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron.
  • Welcome!!!! HEY!!!! YOU'RE CHILLIN WITH THE MAIN TWO PEOPLE I WANT TO MEET BEFORE I DIE!!!!!!! Ray and KIRK!!!!
  • Thanks for the encouragement.. Cleaning the drawing table off now..

  • Yeah, Ralph, back then anytime they used a different guest artist, it'd crush me. I just liked the art so much from these guys and these three were and probably still are my top three. I pretty much gave up collecting "The Amazing Spider-Man" once Ross Andru moved on. He had that look I liked. The same thing with the team of Buscema and Chan, the desire of collecting Conan back then kind of went away. I was following Cary Nord on today's Dark Horse's Conan and am disappointed in him leaving there but the stories are really good and they seem to be finding artist to almost emulate the feel Nord brought to it. I like the stories but I will pick up a book for the art over story everytime. When the art is great, I can enjoy it, read it and study it. Story is secondary to me but a great yarn is a plus. I'm making no sense here.
  • Ross Andru, John Buscema and Ernie Chan. Those are names I haven't heard mentioned in years. I see that you are a long time comicbook collector. Those are some major artists from years back. It is good to see that these veterans are still appreciated.
  • Thanks, brother!
    Glad u enjoy the Ranger!
    Blessings!
