  • Does the scripture have to go with the pages? I mean scene wise.
  • Hello, Ralph!

Check out my CCAS blog for the latest preview of Erica's and my new serial, BEST MANN FOR THE JOB!

    :)

Have a great weekend - God bless!
  • Can I submit 2 pages of my unfinished free comic book day pages?
    And when is the deadline?
  • Thanks. :)

I have a few websites, but not much current artwork. I'm a full time art student, so most of my 'serious' (aka: good!) creative energy goes to that, ha ha. But I'll be sure to post some links up.

Scott McCloud is amazing. I absolutely love his stuff, it's just really innovative. I really like his books about making and understanding comics- those have been super helpful to me.

    Thanks again, God Bless. :)
  • Ralph--I'm going to send you an email regarding the Holly pages. I called you but never got a response. My message must've gotten accidentally deleted or something. Anyway, look for my email. God bless.
  • Hey, thanks! I was looking for a comic artists group and to find one that is Christian is very exciting. I look forward to "meeting" everyone.
  • Thank you for the compliments about my family and the horses.

I saw John last night at the ANNIES. Billy Crystal presented his Windsor McCay Award. The ANNIE Awards show was great. Tom Kenney (voice of SpongeBob Squarepants) did an original song and dance number as part of his opening monologue and KUNG FU PANDA was the big winner of the night. We can talk about the genesis of John's disaffection for the church in person some time. Thank you for keeping him in prayer. May God grant you enduring strength and the wisdom to judge pace during this busy time. I can join you singing the chorus of the being busy song. Praise God, being busy is better than being unemployed and/or being without meaningful tasks.
  • Hi Ralph --

Thanks for the greeting. I was raised in Whittier, but now live in Burbank.

Will you be at the ANNIE Awards tomorrow? It is a grand show.

John Lasseter will receive the Windsor McCay Award tomorrow night. He was raised in the Whittier Church of Christ, and was baptized by immersion as a young man. John is pretty hostile to Christianity now. John's late mom, Jewell, was a faithful Christian. She was a Pepperdine grad, and was President of Associated Women for Pepperdine in the 60's. John's dad, Paul Lasseter is a faithful Christian. We might all pray for John, that his heart will soften, and that he will return to the Way.

Thanks again for the welcome. May you and your family be richly blessed and may your loins be well girded for the battle that you do in this wonderful battlefield of comics.

    Paul
  • Mr. Miley, I was just wondering, how do you write to everybody at the same time? I want to ask if anyone knows of any good books on drawing the folds in clothing.

    Michael
  • Thanks for you're warm welcome. I will be posting some of my stuff soon, even though most of it is more realistic that I have, I have done some brighter and cartoonish things.
