I've been a believer since I was a little boy. My parents and my grandparents were believers. Jesus has always been my hero, and his life and words have been my guide in life. His death and resurrection are my salvation. Heaven is my eternal home, for as my great-grandfather (6x) Roger Williams (founder of Rhode Island) once wrote: "Life is brief minute. Eternity follows." My brief minute on this planet has lasted for 64 years so far, and have seen our society change radically in those years. Jesus has helped me through many a challenge and heartache (some brought on by my own sin and foolishness), and his Church (my brothers and sisters in Christ) has been a constant source of encouragement. The Church is also a constant source of grief, for too many of us do not follow Jesus as we ought. I have been involved in Christian service and ministry within several local churches through the years, as a teacher, preacher and worship leader. Over the past 8 years, I have pastored a small historic congregation in Lancaster County, PA. I am married (40 years in 2018), with five grown children and four grandchildren. The Lord has helped us in married and family life, as the challenges today are multiplied by a society in open rebellion against God... and a culture increasingly shaped by the media and the influence of digital technology.
