Heads and Hands

Greetings, brothers and sisters. I guess in this unique portion of the Body of Christ, we have a lot of heads (creators) and hands (artists). Well, glad to be among you.

I'm at that time in life that the Beatles sang about in their whimsical song "When I'm 64":
When I get older, losing my hair,
Many years from now...

Except it's not many years from now. It's now.

Been drawing pictures for about 61 of these 64 years, and comics and cartooning has been a big part of that, both professionally and for the fun of it. Next year, my comic fanzine (Comic Courier, published back in the Golden Age of comics fandom) turns 50. Crazy! But it's got me dreaming... and reconnecting with dozens of those "kids" who were part of those golden days. So... I've been cruising around Cyberspace a bit, discovering groups like this one.

I wish us all grace, mercy and peace as we seek to glorify God through the gifts he has given us. And I pray that we remember the Giver is so much more important than the gifts... and that our brother, our sister, our family members, our neighbors, even our enemies are all more important than any desire to express ourselves through our gifts. Life is short. Follow Jesus.

In His great goodness and grace,

your brother,

Mark Ammerman
