Hey Louis, welcome to the site! What an awesome job, working for Sesame street! What are your future plans surrounding comic books?
Ok...Kings Highway!!! My aunt used to reside in that area when I was a kid. I know exactly what you mean going all over the place with friends LOL!!!! I used to walk from my house all the way to Church avenue to catch a movie at kenwood theatre (I think that was the name...I know they tore it down years ago though). I appreciate the feed back and will definitely keep you posted. The inside IS CGI as well...the first issue is already completed and submitted. My goal is to complete 3 issues for the program which coincides with the lessons from the curriculum. There are 6 lessons and I will build stories around 2 for each issue. Here's my personal email: gman7877@yahoo.com. If you don't mind, drop me a line and I would like to discuss with you some other kingdom ideas I have involving comics. God Bless you, and looking forward to talking more!
WOW! This is crazy...I lived in East Flatbush, just up from the junction off Glenwood Rd!!! My parents are still there, as I left home and ended up in Tennessee by way of the military (currently National Guard). Like you, I can't leave TN as Father has led me to an AWESOME ministry where I am the assistant pastor. Man, it's truly a small world we live in! I would truly like for us to speak more if it's ok. I am currently a police officer that teaches the G.R.E.A.T. program, which encourages kids to avoid gangs and violence...coming from Brooklyn I'm sure your familiar (DARE / GREAT). I just completed the first ever comic book that has recently been accepted by the organization, and will soon be on their website. The covers for the first 2 issues are posted on CCAS. You can check them under my profile when you get a chance. I would truly like your opinion on the covers, as they are my first ever. I truly believe the Lord has called me to comics and has opened this window of opportunity to reach kids as confirmation and I am very excited about it.
Welcome Louis!
What part of New York are you from? I am originally from Brooklyn, born and raised.
Hello! It's really cool that your favorite artist hired you! I hope you like it here!
Hi, Louis. Welcome.
