Area(s) of Interest or Expertise:

  • Christian Manga, illustration, and story telling are what I do now in my ministry. I want to perfect these skills and further my education in digital art.

My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)

I was lead to Christ when I was very young by my friend who was kind enough to answer all my questions about God and her church. I grew up outside of church, as my family did not attend, but the Holy Spirit was with me throughout my childhood and lead me to christian friends. My life was difficult but God never left me and provided peace and wisdom to escape my situations. At a time when I did not expect it, the Lord brought my husband into my life which lead me to the Salvation Army, which is my home church now and has been for 20 years. I have grown so much since then as a believer and it was there that God introduced me to three amazing women who join me in my ministry to share the love of Jesus through art and story telling. About 5 years ago, my family was hit with devastating news. My oldest son as diagnosed with acute myloid leukemia. He had only a 60% chance of survival, even with a bone marrow transplant. I was crushed and asked God why, not of anger, but out of confusion. But the Lord immediately ministered to me, telling me he was there with me. I prayed and asked Him not to let me hate Him if he took my son to be with Him, because I knew that my son would be in heaven with Him and safe. I couldn't deny my son heaven. It is our home. Not Earth. God filled me with a sense of peace right then and there. I felt safe in his hands. Well, God healed my son. He is 10 years cancer free. And through that time my passion to share the gospel never died. My friends were waiting for me to continue our journey in storytelling that whole time, never giving up either. And as a result, we now have a website. Something we hadn't expected to come true. God is faithful. And He is always good, even when the world isn't.

Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)

Working for the Lord in the gaming and comic industry.

Favorite Comic Creators:

Marvel has been a huge inspiration growing up. As an adult I was lead to Jin Li, creators of the Christian manga Shelter of Wings.
