"That's an interesting idea and I wouldn't say it's totally unrealistic. God created us with these desires and talents. The Bible never says we'll lose our individualities when we go to Heaven (& the New Earth) - that's what makes us special and our…"
"WARNING: I'm gonna' be super-busy writing 4 graphic novels in 5 months, so I won't be online for "fun" until April 2008. If you write and I don't respond...that's why. It's nothing personal.
I also wanted to let the female members of the Christian…"
"I'm guessing you mean IndyPlanet -- though you could mean Alias (Pistolfist's first publisher - before they dumped all their books). Actually, I'm publishing it under my StoryLine Studios imprint now. The regular comics are available @ ComixPress,…"
"Thanks! I was actually going to wait to sign up 'cause I'm gonna' be absolutely swamped over the next 4-5 months (thank God!) adapting Ted Dekker's upcoming Youth Series into Graphic Novel form, but Geoff Brenneman (and a few others) said "Sign up!…"
"Hey Jesse, long time no hear ( like 1 week? :) Anyhoo, for those who don't know, my name's J.S. Earls and I'm a professional comic creator/writer. God's opened some pretty cool doors for me, namely...
Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic, (Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)
To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...
It's after April! Happy Thanksgiving! I'm Scott A. Shuford, one of the new Board members. I wanted to stop in and say thanks for being involved with CCAS! If you have any input or would like to be involved with anything in particular, please let me and Eric Jansen (Membership Coordinator for CCAS) know by contacting us both through the site. We'll be making several announcements in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. To see a bit more about me, check out my profile here on the site. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better.
Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."

I also wanted to let the female members of the Christian Comic Art Society know that -- due to horrendous past experiences and, out of respect for my wife -- I will not be "befriending" any female members. Again, nothing personal. My time is very limited and my marriage is of utmost importance to me.
My book came stapled. But they have a manga tpb option now too, so that may be perfect bound. They've changed the options since I first ordered this one.
I did my first collection of toons at ComiXpress. I liked the quality but not the service. So now I'm at Ka-Blam/IP and my book just went up for sale there yesterday.
