Over 14 years ago, I was severely addicted to Internet video games, playing 50 to 100 hours weekly for over 10 years. I was going to take a life. It was either my life or my wife's. Because I was gaming excessively, I was depressed, angry, and rageful. My wife escaped with the clothes on her back and took our son (2 at the time) and daughter (1 at the time) to seek refuge with her mother 3000 miles away. Our journey of redemption, healing, and my battle with video game addiction are real. This is why I say we don't need more data and research. More data and research ONLY CONFIRMS WHAT WE ALREADY KNOW. Through our faith in Jesus Christ and personal relationship with Christ, my life was redeemed, my marriage was restored, my relationships with my children were rectified, and my career blossomed. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! - 2 Corinthians 5:17 With my new life, my mission is simple. To share my story, to help those suffering, and to love others, as God loves me. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
