To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."
I know it has been a while since you guys have heard from me. I've been busy with some things concerning my ministry and my wife's ministry. I've just made some updates on our website that I believe each of you will enjoy. Also my wife's ministry, Mending Hearts of Marion, is getting ready to have their women's conference in October. If any of you happen to be in the Monroe, LA area in October stop on by. And yes, men can come also even though its a Women's conference. You can find more info at our website at www.bayou.com/~faithtas
Now at this time I would like to ask all of you a question. How many of you are promoting your ministry? Yes, how many of you are actually telling others about your Christian artwork? Is time an issue? Other committments? Or is finances the reason why you haven't been able to let others know about your wonderful gifts. As I've said before, each of you have a ministry and I encourage you not to give up on it. There are many ways you can market your ministry. Now before you shout me down, yes, I said market. So Many Christians think the word market is a a secular or wordly term. We are commanded to tell others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For example, some of you have comic book ministries. Ok, tell me, how is your ministry going to bless others if no one else knows about it? Are you sending out e-mails to Christians and non Christians to let them know about your ministry? That's marketing. Are you sending out mailouts or postcards to let others know what you do? That's marketing. And there is nothing wrong with that as long as you keep your priorities in order. Remember, Jesus is first then your ministry. I believe that God wants each of us a Christian cartoonist to be successful. And yes there is more than enough people out there for us as Christian cartoonist to minister to. I was reading an article not too long ago about how much secular comic book artists are paid per page. It is sad that what they make per page the average Christian cartoonist doesn't make in a year. I know we are doing this for the glory of the Lord first. But I do believe that it is time for us as Christian cartoonists to enjoy some of the blessings to. What's wrong with you ministering the Gospel of jesus Christ to others and also making a living from your gifts? I don't beleive it is the will of God for His cartoonists to struggle and just barely get by while the secular cartoonist world continues to prosper. I'M not putting them down. I, like you, have been and probably still are being influenced by many of the great artist from Marvel, DC, Hanna Barbera Studios, and others. Personally, I'm greatful to men like Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera because watching their cartoons as a kid inspired me to get into cartooning. But i am saying, if they can use their gifts to open successful animation companies and comic book publishing companies, why can't we do the same? Doesn't the Bible say that"God is no respecter of persons". If they can do it, then why, by the Grace of God, can't we? We can and we shall!! It is our time, Christian cartoonist!! Yes, it is going to take some work, much work. But we can do all things through Christ wh strengthens us. Well that's all I have time for now. I will be contacting many of you soon. I would like to start doing some interviews with each of you to post on my website so others can know about you and your ministry. Again my website address is www.bayou.com/~faithtas God bless and continue to keep each other lifted up in prayer.

First, let me apologize for getting back with everyone on where animated cartoons appear in the Bible. I had an unexpected emergency to come up. All is well and keep me in your prayers. Well here is the answer to my question.
Animated Cartoons in the Bible
The term animation comes from the Latin word "anima" meaning "life" or "animare" meaning "to breathe life into". The word cartoon means "drawing, imitation, or image". So basically an animated cartoon are "images that have life." Now, get your Bible and read these Scriptures. First read Genesis 1: 27 - 28. Then read Genesis 2: 7. Then hop over to the New Testament and read John 14: 6. Now are the little bells going off in your head? (smile) That's right. The first animated cartoons or "images of Life" was man. We are to be "imitators of Life" or "images of Life". And Jesus is the only real Life that we should be imitating. Well, are you? Until next time keep those pencils, pens, and computers rolling in Jesus name

Just wanted to let everyone know How glad I am to be a part of this network. Each of you have an important ministry and I encourage each of you not to give up. Christian Cartooning is a very important ministry but many in the Body of Christ haven't gotten the revelation on this. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then each picture we draw is a sermon. Keep up the good work!! Did you know that animated cartoons are mentioned all throughout the Bible? Yep animated cartoons are even mentioned in tthe Garden of Eden. I'm not making this up.Friday, I will have the answer for you with Scripture to back it up. I am pretty sure most of you already know the answer. God bless and I'll have the answer for you on Friday. Or you can e-mail me if you can't wait that long and Ill give you the answer. Please feel free to visit my website at www.bayou.com/~faithtas God bless and keep those pencils going in Jesus Name.
