  • I am getting my stuff together to put out a web comic. But I need some help in getting in online. Does anyone have any suggestions for a hosting site? I like the sound of "FREE" the best.
  • Thanks all! I have been looking around a few web sites and have a much better idea of what a web comic is. This seems like it takes a lot of knowledge of computer I feel so primitive and young at art I will have to do a lot of praying about getting into something like this. My cartoons are one page one scene! Even though at times I always wished I had more scenes to tell the comedy or story I get a bit intimidated and overwhelmed!
  • Oh yeah, and I recently (re)started one called Hoshen.
  • @Terry - Some examples of webcomics: Axe Cop by Ethan Nicolle, Dr. McNinja by Matt Hastings, the recently completed Ratfist by Doug Tennapel, and though it's a bit of a stretch on the definition, Homestuck by Andrew Hussie.
AXE COP - The official site of AXE COP, created by a 5 year old and his 29 year old brother

  • Hi Terry, Any comic on the Internet is a webcomic in my book, or eBook.
  • I'm not sure what a web comic is. I do have a web site with some of my toons on it, I am looking forward to seeing all the web sites though and making Christian cartoonist friends.
  • Hello Alecho! I'm glad you joined, and I look forward to connecting with you
  • Howdy! I am so happy and feel blessed to see so many Christian webcomic artists here! I'll be looking through your work all day today :)

I also have couple of webcomics online:  AMERICAN OTAKU and  ABSTRACT BEING. I am also currently in progress of developing a third manga-style comics called ToMato. *It continues some mature material and not recommended for under aged readers.

Once again, it's great being here! Hope to make new friends here. God Bless! :)

    Welcome american-otaku.com - Hostmonster.com
  • Kendall, promoting a webcomic is something that every webcomic creator struggles with.  Everyone tries different things to get their comic noticed, but with so many webcomics out there, it's really hard to get people to look at yours.  I've tried a lot of things myself, but the latest one was doing a radio interview where I gave testimony and talked about what influenced me to make my comic on Yes FM, a Christian radio station.  That seemed to get the attention of the audience I was trying to get to look at my comic.  Good luck and God bless!
  • Hello Kendall,

Wish I could help, but I'm doing a black and white comic, and I'm still in the very early stages. If I think of something or someone in terms of resources, I'll let you. Take care and God's blessings on your comic endeavor!

Active Webcomic Creators

How many active webcomic creators do we have on here? Can you comment with your comic's name and a link to the site? Also, please mention when you post (Mondays, Fridays, first of the month, etc). I have an old webcomic, my first issue of Plasmatic, which I am not currently posting on. Working on issue #2: http://www.comic-rocket.com/read/plasmatic-2/1 Thanks! Tom
