SERGIO CARIELLO, illustrator of THE ACTION BIBLE, and BATMAN, THE LONE RANGER, etc., former instructor at THE KUBERT SCHOOL. He is charming, and loveable, and Christian.

ZACH LEVI, known for his role in the TV series CHUCK, as the titular character. He also played Fandral in the Marvel film THOR: THE DARK WORLD (2013). Levi is a Christian.

JACK CHICK, publisher, writer, and comic book artist of evangelical fundamentalist Christian tracts and comic books. His comics have been described by Los Angeles magazine as "equal parts hate literature and fire-and-brimstone sermonizing." He is 89 years old, turns 90 in April, so he might not be with us by the time this gets off the ground. But it was through a Chick tract that our own RALPH MILEY came to really open his eyes and heart to the LORD.

Art Aryis has a relationship with Gideon Media Festival--and it might be a good idea to "partner" with a conference like that initially; strength in numbers and all that.
While I've never done it myself, I've been around a lot of people who have worked on concoms...it's a lot of work and very little recognition.
Some thoughts: *price for attendance has to be reasonable in order to get "masses" inside the doors. *price(s) for creative talent that would be seen as a draw must also be reasonable--or they won't come.*media personalities are always a good way to bring in bodies--but they're also pricey.*More than just a dealers room, you need the "artists alley" and good panels.
I'm sure that's all been covered and I apologize for any repetition. Would love to see this happen!
This is also a little morbid (and some might think it's sacrilegious, if taken the wrong way) but Cruci-Fiction or Cruci-Fiction Con would reference the cross and imaginative art at the same time.
Just going along with Mr. Porta, Straight Edge is a term describing someone who doesn't drink, smoke or do drugs, usually refers to a punk rocker who doesn't.

SQUARE CON suggests its own icon, a square.
"Square" is already associated with Christian culture in a variety of ways.
There is the Foursquare denomination.
An agreement that is equitable on all sides is a "square deal." Before leaving your seat to exit the diner, you may ask the counterman, "Are we square?" which means, "Have I paid you for everything?"
"Square" also has a celebratory association. Think "Square Dance," something that is popular among diverse groups of people — Jews, country music aficionados, people from New Jersey ...
In referring to a person, "square" originally meant someone who was honest, traditional and loyal. A person who respects traditional principles. What comes to mind (I hope) when one says "Christian," hence SQUARE CON fits the Christian idea.
Also, "square" was once what liberal people called conservative people and things. It is somewhat out of date as a slang word, but that lends it retro cachet.
The word "SQUARE"also suggests the more current slang term "GEEK" used to describe eccentric or non-mainstream people, with different connotations ranging from "an expert or enthusiast" to "a person heavily interested in a hobby," often considered a pejorative, but also used self-referentially without malice or as a source of pride.

Pretty much the same case can be made for STRAIGHT CON. Christians, like Boy Scouts, are identified with being "morally straight" or virtuous.

Hmm...maybe. But I think we need something catchy. ;)
(Golgotha sounds to me like a horror film fest...or just something gothic/dark, which is for me personally not my style, and honestly isn't the theme of the convention...at least I hope not. O_o and XN con sounds weird and is forgettable, in my opinion.)
I think it would be cool if we had a word like KABLAM and then made it into acronym...just an idea.
Magnifi-Con (Magnificat), Escha-Con (Eschaton), Genesis, Beza-Con or Oholi-Con after the two craftsmen set in charge of making the tabernacle or maybe O Holy-Con. I know Xn-Con was already suggested, but I was thinking Xny would sound cool. Juts a few off the top of my head. I'll post more as I think of them.
