Introducing.....The 1st Christian Superhero

Good day,I would like to take this opportunity to introduce all of you to a really neat site run by a fellow brother in Christ Craig Lofton, and his creation Jadian. which can be found at www.the1stchristiansuperhero.com; I am using this blog for a couple of reasons; first for the purpose of getting his name out there as I offered to do for him. Second, that the story and character is unique ( very original, as it is a female.) and very intriguing and has the potential for being a very exciting and wonderful story....I'm not going to go into details as I want all who read this go to his site and read through it, and I'm sure you will agree there is a great deal there that is to be told, which brings me to the last reason for this blog, Craig is in need of an artist, he has several plots and stories waiting to be told, he is simply in need of an artist to help complete his vision, he himself can be reached through the site or at craigslofton@hotmail.com. I'm sorry I've been away so long, but I got caught up with a BUNCH of differetn things, I'll spare you the details, but lately I've been working on not one but two projects, both may see the light of day this time out, after 20 or so odd years, it's weird to actually see this coming together.....anyhoo I'll be putting up more info about both in the coming weeks and for all of you who sent me mail and messages I never responded to; I'M SORRY ! Disney Studios Motion Picture Group President Mark Zoradi To Join Biola Media Conference

I'm soooo looking forward to the Biola Media Conference in a few weeks. Mark Zoradi, President of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Group was the latest addition to the event. Put Yourself in This Position....

Just imagine the feeling....You have just experienced the biggest letdown of your life, because the man you have known, loved and followed as a mentor for the past three years, has just been arrested, beaten, publicly tortured and finally executed in the most humilating fashion possible in the city streets.You've spent the past two days in hiding for fear that the government might come after you next, because everybody knows you were one of "his followers." You only have the cold isolation of your hiding place to keep you company in your sorrow. All you have been able to do is pray and feel your life ripped apart in silent anguish, for fear of alerting anyone of your secret refuge.Then the Word comes....his body has been discovered missing from his place of initial burial. One of your friends, and fellow followers of this man, has even reported that he is alive and walking again among the living! You struggle with mixed feeling of joy and disbelief about this, 'cause after all dead is dead...is it not? I've never seen a dead man walking...except of course for that fellow you met months back. What was his name? Lazarus...yes Lazarus... and he was apparently raised from death by your mentor, though some of us had our doubts!Then it happens...after you and your friends have mustered enough courage to come out of hiding to meet, (even though it is in a secret location...so as not to attract attention), he's there! Seeing him in the flesh, you suddenly think of every person who you've lost to death and the dreams you've had about just being able to see and speak with them, one last time. You recall how joyful and peaceful this makes you feel, upon waking up. But now this feeling of Joy and Peace is multiplied 100 times, because this isn't a dream...he's really here in front of you. You have touched him, talked with him, seen the scars from the whipping and stabbing he suffered. You've even see him consuming food in front of you....so this can't just be some kind of spirit that you've heard about 100's of times in tales around the camp-fire.He starts to tell all of you, about where we will go after death and what it's like...because he's been there, he's seen its glory for himself! Then after a few weeks of his presence he tells you he is leaving you to join his father in that next place, but he will save a spot for you there and you feel momentarily sad because he will be departing again. But somehow still his presence is with you and within you and you vow to always remember how you felt on this day...the day you discovered that you had met, known and could talk to the living God. And this provides you with peace, joy, strength and security for the rest of your life, in both good times and bad.Just imagine the feeling!RJ Luedke

I have found a Jesus cartoon I drew on numerous blogs, including a Wierd Al video and a story of how it caused a protest (I'm assuming it is a joke).But this blog (above) raises the question of cartoon depictions of sacred persons or traditions. Most people are aware of the uproar and even deaths related to cartoon depictions of the prophet Mohammed. How about cartoon depictions of Jesus or God or other sacred Christian traditions? When does cartooning and caricature cross an ethical line when it comes to divine images or sacred Christian traditions?

Casting Call in Sacramento!

My friend is helping to get a casting call together of at least 100 people...so spread the word!We're looking for several Teens and Adults that want to be extras in an upcoming movie. A glimpse at things to come...

Brothers and sisters,I'm looking at taking things into a new direction with my character but I need help. I've not done much of anything but build up my drawings of Ischuros, his world, and what I'm pitting him against spiritually.... but I don't want it to end up like some of my previous ideas or comics from high school where it's only for a season. I want to make this, Salvation Samurai, a bigger part of my life... and I want him and his struggles, his battles to also move, grow, and get better as I do. So, I'm asking for help from any of you who has an encouraging word or words of wisdom.
