"Being Helpful at the Seasonal Job" - part 2 (click for full comic)
Finally!!! After a few years of stress, adhd, anxiety and depression, work slumps, dealing with evil in-laws, being my own worst critic, destroying and rewriting, lots of crumpled papers, crying spells, angry bouts, writer’s blocks, artist blocks, and self hate battles, my first draft is finally done for the first book in my series and I may have found an editor. I’ve just been praying that God guides me because these are big decisions.
Hard to believe 2018 is almost over. Since Christmas has officially started (before the end of November), its time to pick up a personal tradition of mine: drawing the "Rocking Reindeer" comp. It started as an idea a long time ago as an album cover to a heavy metal compilation of Christmas song covers my friends and I were going to record. Never happened of course, but I still liked the idea and every year feel compelled to redraw it again.
If you guys feel inspired, draw your own composition of classic Christmas characters re imagined as modern musicians: rappers, punk rockers, emo, whatever. Post in response to this post.
Merry Christmas to all now go forth and rock!

Brothers and Sisters: I hope you're all doing great and enjoying the blessings of God. I and a co-creator have developed a comic that we are hoping can be crowdfunded on IndieGogo. It's called HIRO: Blood of Patriots. It will be a 48-page full-color graphic novel featuring our original character HIRO, an undead super soldier.
You can download the ZERO issue for free from the Indiegogo page. So please check it out and let us know what you think. We have a perk level for everyone so please back our campaign.
For those wondering what happened to me; I’m still around. I haven’t abandoned “Glymyre Tales”; only taken a couple of months to complete “The GlymyreScape Player’s Manual”. Some of you long time followers of my work know that the tabletop rpg,”GlymyreScape” is part of what my webcomic is based on and I felt it was important to get it into print as soon as possible. Now that the player’s manual is done, I’ve started work on the game master’s guide. I’ve also started work on the next page of “Glymyre Tales”, but with all the extra writing, updates may have to be bi-weekly. On the other hand, the GlymyreScape manuals are going to be worth all the effort. Matter of fact, “The GlymyreScape Player’s Manual” is available on Amazon right now! You can check it out by following this craftily crafted link!
YOUR COMIC ART can help bless formerly-trafficked girls in the Philippines. I hope you will join me and other artists on this collaborative project. Learn more at https://itscaptainsun.com/book-four-project/
Hey Guys:
Pretty sure everyone has heard about the passing of the great Stan Lee. And I'm pretty sure there will be millions of tribute pieces posting for months even years to come. Never the less, I felt the need to commemorate by drawing out my own composition. This is also the first time I've actually fully colored anything I've drawn. So I need help: does it work? what needs to change? Should I use different colors? is the shading right? Shine? etc. I can use all the help I can get before posting this to FB.
Okay, I’ve sent the manuscript and cover to the publisher, and now I’m waiting for the proof copy of the book. I’ve already looked at the PDF proof, but a printed version is necessary to really know how it turns out. Once it arrives and I give it a good check, I’ll make “The GlymyreScape Player’s Manual” available for purchase. Years ago (when we were playing this game from scribbled notes in a binder), I never thought it would turn into a book as polished as this. Heh, the advice I got from a gaming (and comic book) shop, was to make it as detailed as possible. Well, at 290 pages, I’d say it was detailed well enough. Still, it’s only the basic guidelines for “GlymyreScape”, and there’s quite a bit more to put in my next volume, “The GlymyreScape Game Master’s Guide”. Here’s hoping it takes less time to write, but for now I’ll take a short break and maybe do a few pages of “Glymyre Tales”. I haven’t forgotten you, my readers. And thanks for visitin’. Hey, leave a comment or two. I like hearing from you.
