I just figured I'd share my upcoming story.
It's about a female super hero named Nighthawk. She lives in a town called Riverton. Her parents, Jack and Deb Patterson were killed when she was 13. Her parents were working at a genetics lab called Western Genetics. They were developing a possible cure of cancer. It worked out as something that helps restore destroyed tissue in the body and due to a miscalculation it actually would enhance muscle and brain tissue. When the VP, David Clingger, found this out, he tried to sell the "Cure" on the black market. When Jack and Deb found this out they tried to report what Clingger was doing. An attempt on their life had occurred so they new they had little time. They destroyed all evidence of The Cure except for one vial. Before a gun man could kill them both, Jack injected the Cure into his 13 year old daughter Kristen in her sleep. The gun man killed Jack and Deb and shot Kristen, but because of the Cure... She survived.
She moves in with her 70 year old grandfather who is the pastor of First Church of Riverton. She grows up to obsessed with finding out who killed her parents. Because of the Cure her brain develops greater than anyone could have known and she finished her Masters of Criminal Science by age 20. By the time she was 24 she became the youngest detective in the history of Riverton.
Her grandfather instilled much about helping those in need. To seek justice, to do good. And being in the police force exposed her to the dirty truth that RPD is corrupt. Under the blanket of Commission O'Neil who works closely with the current Mayor, David Clingger.
She becomes Nighthawk finding out different facts about her parents. Her mother's favorite bird is a hawk. But not only did the Cure make her smarter and stronger, she has enhanced night vision and ability to see great distances.
Nighthawk #1 will take place in a time where Nighthawk is established but still not believed. She is hunting down that man who killed her parents who is named "The Deal-Maker".
There's a lot that is going to happen in this and I'm really excited!
