CHRISTIAN COMIC ARTS SOCIETY :: A NETWORK OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP FOR COMICS FANS, PROS, AND AMATEURS

Sigh...I think the Amphetamine is working....

They just told me I have three quarters left before I'm made to graduate...I still haven't read any of the texts I've been assigned in all the classes I've had... haven't finished one page of a anatomy or computer book...I've made just one good friend who I can actually have longer than a minute conversations outside of critiques with...and I still have no art ready to show to the "general public..." I'm realizing too much now....I want my ADD shell back!

  • Like others in the faith including me, procrasinate(I'm not a good speller as you can see) in what God truly has for us as believers. I'm not saying that it's going to go smoothly as you go on your journey. But the direction that Jesus has for us is plain to see as our goal is to satisfy in our obedience to him. Do we truly submit ALL things to Him. You could agree with me that the word for today, "I Don't Think So!" comes to mind. Try as we should is the name of lives trails, but do we do it alone? off coarse not! Be encourage that sometimes we look at glass of water dimly not knowing that the benifits of that water springs abondance of joy and peace beyond our understanding. So in closing, How about we drink that water that christ has?
  • Yeah I'm sorry I'm not here more ofen too, but I'm tried of posting here and not feeling any better afterwards even when I do have work to show...I feel much more satisfied now when my students and teachers like or even appreciate it...Rest assured I won't rest until I get a online portfolio ready and thriving! We'll all be glad I took this little break then!
  • I have six years in desighn and just learned the basics in two years, and those two years were just recent. I see alot of the teachings just as a spring board to what God truly has for me. Praying that i do my best before one person and one person only. The critiques from others gives me motivation of improvment. Doesn't it sound like everyday lives trials. First giving it to the lord and letting him help you in those trials, and maybe you learn something from it. In my opinion i think you should post your best stuff and get the advice of others you repect and take the word from others to improve and get better. We are all in this journey together and the question is, "Do we walk on our own, or do we have others to lean on?" Reminder Uncharted we all need room to improve our art and also our walk with the lord. Do we let the devil kick us in the corner, or do we keep fighting the fight?
  • Yeah, I'm glad to hear the meds are working but I miss seeing you online more. LOL Anyways, do your best and soak up as much knowlegde as you can.
  • Do you want the general public to see your work? If so, make it. You have to be interested in showing what you can do. Dont limit yourself, you have the potential to do whatever you set your mind to. If it makes you feel any better, I'm set to graduate in three quarters as well, and I dont have much to show either. But instead of being paralyzed with anxiety, I'm working on some things that I want to show. You've got plenty of time, it's just how you use it. Getting down on yourself is NOT going to help you. Just do what you like doing, and do your best at it.

  • I need those "steps" written down again, but thaks Spike!
  • I'm delighted to read that your prescription has been successful. Now that it's working, why not let God start working? He can't help you with any aspects of your life that you don't turn over to Him.
