CHRISTIAN COMIC ARTS SOCIETY :: A NETWORK OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP FOR COMICS FANS, PROS, AND AMATEURS
No, I'll prolly never be in one at this rate, but it's the most exciting events I go through every four months because it's like you're meeting the greats inside conceptart.org or cgtalk. So I snapped all of the higlights almost (I messed up on a batman model someone made); did I forget to mention to you about webshots? It's really wonderful how they don't limit the resolution (check the full size link at the top right of my photos) of the images you get to upload...though there is a limit of 1100 pics. Actually, I'm thinking on giving up this life...I'm out of ambition and I really hate the reality of conflict and pain in humanity much less want to right about it...I may give away my stories to anyone but there's a high chance no one's going to want to take up the offer:http://good-times.webshots.com/album/562847525AJqkdo?vhost=good-times

  • I will be praying for you as well Michael. I would like to illustrate some of your stories as well. I believe that it can be necessary to take a break from writing for a while. It may give you some time to rest and be inspired again. If you are feeling discouraged as an artist, I would look for things that makes you want to be an artist. But yeah, if you are discouraged elsewhere, send me an email as well.

  • I'm a little worried, here, guy. What's going on with the talk about giving up? I'll be keeping you in my prayers, but send me a PM or something and tell me what's up.

Just think about this, in the mean time: The reality of pain and conflict you spoke of is exactly why we need people writing about it, offering the christian response.

I'm not sure what you mean by the phrase "giving up on this life" but it sounds very ominous, so if it's not intended that way, please clarify what you meant. Do you mean the life of a writer/artist? Life in general? Overall the post seems very despairing, so if you're feeling that way right now, I'm truly sorry for that. I'll keep you in my prayers. Life has its ups and downs, just wait for things to turn around. (wow! that rhymed and I didn't even mean it to! :D )

Hey - do you go to an Art Institute where you're at? I went to Ai here in Dallas. Fun to see how different Ai's do their port shows.

    God bless.

  • Hey, that could be you someday. 239 photos? Eek...my slow dialup connection will keep me there for hours. I flipped through about 6 pages. Didn't see you in any of the shots
( naturally since your the one taking the pixs lol ). I bet half of the grads don't go into the art field for jobs tho. So don't be too discouraged.
And hey, it's ok to take a break from writing. Sometimes I find my life way more stressed when I put to much pressure on myself about drawing. Then when I do, I'm not able to draw a thing. So I take a break and wait until i'm inspired again. Sometimes it takes weeks or months.
I'd take you up on the offer of taking your stories. I'm sure I could find a few diamonds in the rough among them. At the very least, I could help you plot and script.
