Made it up to San Francisco this Saturday with my wife and friends to enjoy the Chinese New Years Parade. 2018 is the 'Year of the Dog' one of the twelve animals of the Chinese Zodiac; Chinese folklore gives certain attributes to those born on certain years but somewhere along the way this part of belief lapsed from religion into folklore...and became an artistic celebration of general well-wishing.
