I think I enjoy painting monochromatic schemes only because its easier then color. It kind of got scary when I started adding the glaze, (which Ill post later). I kept it more simpler slightly different then the original picture.
I really took this slow and easy, keeping in mind of my bud arvalis's advice, to watch my edges. I learn this year not only values are important, but the quality of edges are as well. To have sharpness equals great focus and realism to my paintings. So it really helped me through out my new project, and when this painting kicked in. Funny, alot of people talked about my edge quality, and so its something to work on. The one line rule gives better confidence to your drawings.
I only chose this photo because of the color scheme, not because she has underwear on.
This is also a sad thing because this is pretty much my last project at DVC. Yep all you haters, Im going to Art academy.
Acrylic on a self streched canvas. I think its a 16"x 21".
