This rendition of that account paints a misleading picture of what occurred.The rich,young ruler approached Jesus FIRST and asked what he needed to do to have eternal life.It wasn't until he told Jesus that had kept all the commandments from his youth that he asked Him what was missing.And even then,the topic wasn't finished after he left.Jesus said more to His disciples on the subject.Every story needs to be told in the entire context of it's setting.
