Brien, there is no back-story to this particular cartoon. However, the original cartoon strip is revolves around this character and a host of others in a restaurant. I just get in the habit of drawing miscellaneous cartoons that have little to do with the original or have no punch line.
I do it out of my love for cartooning and the fact that when an idea pops into my head it needs to go down somewhere.
