  • Thanks for the encouragement and advice, Brien.  I am finally learning to apply the adage "slow and steady wins the race" in my artistic pursuits.  It is far better than the older adage "why bother..."  Heh.  And blessings to you, too!

  • Yeah, an Epic journey is about to begin!   Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate, but really you're the only one who can tell your story. Tiny snippets of time(like after the kids go to bed) can gradually create a long story.  If you hit a sticking point in either drawing or writing, put up a request on the main page.

God bless your family and your creations. Thefirst page looks promising.

  • As Christmas rushes up on me, I am struck by how fast 2012 passed us by. For myself, I took the first real steps towards some creative projects I've been chomping at the bit to attack. I've been blessed by new friendships in the creative world, as well as new additions to my family, and a good job that keeps us afloat. Above is a test for page-1 of what I hope will be my first full-length comic. My art is terrible, my writing is mediocre at best, and yet I feel it's a story I should tell. So, as I dive in and work towards what I believe will be a worthwhile pursuit artistically, I hope and pray that I will keep sight on what really matters - My God, my family, and getting the word "my" out of phrases referencing the other things that I tend to count as important.
