We camped up and down northern California and southern Oregon through many different habitats ranging from rain-forest to high desert. I try to take a sketch book and baggie of pens and pencils to do both realistic sketches and cartoons. Occasionally I do something I want to work-up on photoshop; recently I have changed from scanning sketches to importing pictures from ipad, with far better results.
This is so cute? We're you actually camping with your granddaughter. If you did, I'm guessing that inspired you to create this. BTW Awesome picture. I wish I could draw animals that well (very ironic that I'm not that great considering I'm writing a comic series that focuses on a main character who can turn into animals).

Yes, this was based on the first day of nine wonderful days of camping with my granddaughter.
