  • Thanks! Every summer my parents and I go camping at a beautiful state park about an hour from our house. I love being out in God's creation.
  • *I also am still learning where to draw the line on privacy. However I think it is safe to safe to share that my granddaughter is under 10, and handles the adoration of many adults rather well. We camped up and down northern California and southern Oregon through many different habitats ranging from rain-forest to high desert. I try to take a sketch book and baggie of pens and pencils to do both realistic sketches and cartoons. Occasionally I do something I want to work-up on photoshop; recently I have changed from scanning sketches to importing pictures from ipad, with far better results.

  • Awesome! How old is your granddaughter? Where did you guys camp? (It's okay if you can't tell me for privacy reasons. Just let me know if you can't.)
  • Yes, this was based on the first day of nine wonderful days of camping with my granddaughter.

Been drawing animals for fifteen years; its humans that I'm less practiced with.

  • This is so cute? We're you actually camping with your granddaughter. If you did, I'm guessing that inspired you to create this. BTW Awesome picture. I wish I could draw animals that well (very ironic that I'm not that great considering I'm writing a comic series that focuses on a main character who can turn into animals).
