Mara is one of the 10 lepers in "Banished" a current WIP comic, I've named her the hopeful because she has a lot to hope for in the man they're calling the miracle worker. She's in her mid-thirties and has lost nearly all of both of her hands to the disease but she still keeps to her passion-weaving. Her face hasn't been affected as much as her hair hides most of the deformity. When first afflicted her husband threw her out and left her for dead, last she had heard he'd remarried and taken their daughter with him. She has hope to see her daughter again and that is driving her to join the other lepers.

Justin,
Thanks, the story is still progressing but there will be more insight when I get more character sheets up and created. I don't know about the interview because I haven't been able to read any of your comics yet.
Looks great, and she sounds interesting! Can't wait to learn more, and e-mail if if you're interested in doing an interview for my site: http://www.rsquaredcomicz.com/tag/interviews/
In Christ,
The look on her face may not seem like she's all that hopeful, I suppose that she's got a quiet reserve but she's determined to see her daughter again, no matter what it takes.
