The ManWolf
Imagine you had everything you ever wanted, with no strings attached. The perfect car, perfect house, ideal job, and dream girl. You’re highly respected in your community, and you’re a hero at your church. Your life is perfection at its highest. Then imagine that everything that you held dear and sweat to you were all taken away. This is what happened to Titus Pannell.
Titus Pannell was a 24 year old man, who had it all. He was a highly respected youth pastor at his church. He was graduating from a prestigious institute, with a master’s degree in biochemistry. On top of that, he was getting married to the woman of his dreams. Titus had a bright future, until one day it all came crashing down upon him. When his fiancée, who he loved for 11 years, commits suicide for unknown reasons Titus loses it. Instead of going to Jesus for comfort and guidance he turned his back on God. He blamed the Lord for his troubles, and in doing so he leaves the church. He became an insomniac, and took up smoking just to help deal with the stress. His life was in such disarray that he even contemplated suicide, but God was not done with him yet.
Titus’ world ended, but his journey had just begun. Visiting the grave of his fiancée, Titus was attacked by a strange creature. Surviving the assault, Titus’ life was forever changed from an ordinary man into a werewolf. The abilities and instincts that he possesses were far beyond those of mortal men, but they came with a price. The werewolf powers that he acquired gave him a dark cannibal-like craving, which put his soul in an even greater ruin. He tried to cure himself of his werewolf disease, but nothing worked. The best thing he could do was develop a serum that kept the werewolf urges under control.
As a year past Titus’ life grew more dismal. His body was becoming more and more immune to the serum, and he felt the dark cravings growing more powerful. On top of that, he was abducted by a secrete organization called “The Hounds of God”. They were a group of werewolves who fought against the forces of Satan, preventing Hell from coming on Earth. They were led by a pastor who propositioned Titus to join them. Titus accepted the proposal, and in return the pastor taught Titus to control the beast within him. He did this by leading Titus back on the road of redemption with Jesus Christ.
Now in the present, a year and a half later, Titus receives his first big assignment. Its against a resurfaced Nazi werewolf, who worked under Hitler in W.W.2. The Nazi wants to get revenge on every nation that was against the Germans during the war, and he wants to finish the job of killing God‘s chosen people, the Jews. As Titus fights against this evil dictator it is revealed that the Nazi has strong ties to Titus’ past. Things become grimmer when Titus learns that the end time is close at hand. Slowly things start to be questioned. Is the Nazi werewolf the pre-destined beast, a.k.a Antichrist, the Holy Bible warned humanity about? If so what does Titus’ past have to do with it? In the war against Heaven and Hell, can Titus hold on to his humanity, or will the beast within turn him towards the dark side? On top of that, is the war to end all wars finally upon humanity, Armageddon?
This is exactly what happens in my comic book, The ManWolf. It’s the story of a troubled man who is haunted by the memories of his dead love, and now he fights in a battle between Heaven and Hell. This is a limited series for only 18 issues, or 3 books total.
