Jonquil_portrait

I have had this picture sitting on my computer for ages, with Jonquil 90% done... why I didn't just go on and finish him is beyond me. Anyway, I made a deal with myself that I wouldn't submit anymore art without a background so this picture took two extra painful days to try and come up with one. (I hate buildings now lol)

Anyway here is the Astrian Jonquil, who is second in command to Yellow. And in the background you see a glimpse of Yellow's Spectrum (the skies in the spectrums are the color of the spectrum's complementary color).

Because this spectrum has more than one sun, everything runs on solar energy. The moon shaped attachments on the buildings are solar panels. Because there is so much solar energy in the spectrum buildings do not need to be covered in panels, rather the attachments only allow the right amount of energy in.

Anyway, I'm quite proud of this one. :3

  • The stylized design and vibrant colors are quite eyepleasing.  As a cover or splash page, it would certainly entice me to turn the page and read more about Astria.

  • Thank you so much!
  • This has a wonderful exotic eastern feel to it, I love it!
