do you have some samples of your work in perspective? I'd love to see it.
I think I am still working out how to do perspective. As I teenager I read every book on perspective in the library, and tried to incorporate it into my stories. In college, I took a lot of life drawing courses, and my instructor introduced me to a new perspective- that is that when we view the world, there are no straight lines, everything is curved. You see an exagerated effect with a fish eye lense. I try to blend the traditional techniques with the curvilinear perspective that occurs in nature. The James project includes architecture from around the world, and across the centuries, and with each scene, I am asking what does this say about their faith, their understanding of God, or the world or themselves. It also helps me to think of the environment as a character in the story.
Here's a question for you: How did you learn perspective? I have been trying to improve the perspective in my art and it's still pretty sucky. How did you learn the secrets of good perspective? Would value your advice.
wow wow WOW! That is an awesome landscape! The depth and detail just blow me away! How long did it take you to do that? Anyway I think all your stuff is great, is this art for a comic that I could purchase perhaps?
