Firebomber salute

A Grumman S-2T drops about 1200 pounds of flame retardant per run, and they're getting a lot of business on the six major fires burning in California right now. A bulldozer operator died yesterday in the Soberanes fire, about 25miles from my house,and the fire is still only 15% contained.

  • Thank you for your concern. As of today(Friday 7/29/16) the Soberanes fire has burned over 31,000 acres and 41homes and is 19% contained. But since the un-contained portion is pointed south away from my house, its no personal worry for me.

    Robert Reagan, the Bulldozer operator, died leaving a wife and two young daughters. His friends and co-workers have set up a Gofundme.site to collect donations, at  http://www.sierrastar.com/news/local/article92377502.html .
