  • Thank you Brien. I love you, honor you as a friend and take your opinions into SERIOUS consideration. Please pray for me in this project, I need it - especially from those who are fellow creators. Because the story is set in area where there are some dark things happening. The main character (no sure if he would be called the hero) is trying to do the right thing by working on a mission there. Things go VERY wrong and his motives are brought into question and his means of how he handles the situation even more. The story is of his rebirth in the spirit and into the Kingdom of God. But using a very real backdrop. Its one thing to get saved while the choir is singing, the preacher preaching, the lights on and a warm bed to go home to. It is another to get saved when there seems no hope, and that religion has appeared to have forgot. Opening the door for the Holy Spirit to do some true work. I just finished writing Chapter 1 and 2 of this. Its gritty, but I see where God is taking it. It not a story for the "Sunday School Saint" who sees life through rose colored glass it is a story for the "Everyday Kingdom Warrior!" who meets darkness face to face daily... I want the reader to leave with asking "what kind of believer am I?"

  • Unleashed evil and violence has been deplicted many ways, and an over 13 audience can quite a bit, as long as it moves the story toward a laudable goal.  For myself there's a tipping point where a creator goes from using evil to high light goodness, to glorifying evil, that shouldn't be passed.  A small and clever jest can give momentary lightness to a dark story.  God bless your efforts, DL!
